Faye was born May 13, 1919 in Woodruff (Malad), Idaho a daughter of Arthur M. and Cecil M. Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Cecil Ward of Malad; and four sisters, Elaine (Ralph) Gardner of Salt Lake City; Theda (Max) Pilgrim of Malad, Idaho; Thelma (Glen) Price of Malad, Idaho; and Dorothy (Lee) Knorr of Salt Lake City; and her only brother, Lynn (Margaret) Ward of St. George; with one surviving sister, Wanda (Burton Napier), (Verdie) Wharton of Malad, Idaho. Surviving her death is her husband of 63 years, Khalil V. "KV" Hansen with children, Sheldon K. (Carol) Hansen, of Mesa, Arizona; Byron W. (Lynda) Hansen, of Brigham City, Utah; Linda (Wm. O.) Perry, of Sandy, Utah; Kim S. (Pat) Hansen, of Burley, Idaho; Janet (Steve) Goldsmith, of Sandy, Utah; 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She married her loving companion, Khalil V. "K.V." Hansen on January 27, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In her life, her family came first and her church came next. She insisted on regular family gatherings; including holidays and other special occasions. She especially enjoyed family members at their cabin on Bear Lake for family outings. All of these family gatherings ended in a musical program from each family. She was very musically talented, having performed in over 100 funerals along with many civic and church functions. In her early life she sang with her sisters as a group known as the "Ward Sisters". She insisted that her family perfect their singing and ability to play the piano. She was proud of her pioneer heritage. Her greatest joy came from the fact that her family was all active in the church. 17 of her family have served Missions for the LDS church with three currently serving in various parts of the world. Two of her sons have served as Bishops and the third in a Bishopric; her daughter Linda and son-in-law William O. Perry served as President of the Hawaii Honolulu Mission. She has been privileged to travel over a great part of the world; Western Europe, China, India, Korea, Japan, Nepal, and many Pacific Islands. She was involved with her husband in the ownership of several G.M. dealerships, two cattle ranches, and a banking operation. During her lifetime she has lived in Malad City, Idaho where she was born; Montpelier, Idaho and Brigham City, Utah. She served in many church assignments: serving as the music director of both wards and stakes; teacher, and the President of Box Elder Stake Relief Society. Over her lifetime she has given many book reviews and talks pertaining to her travels.
