Surnames: Wilcox, Nordberg, Osborn Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Qg.2ADE/281 Message Board Post: The Salt Lake Tribune, Thursday, June 6, 2002 BOUNTIFUL- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Dale Abbott Wilcox died June 2, 2002 in Bountiful, Utah after a lifetime of service to his family, friends, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dale was born Oct. 24, 1915 in Holbrook, Idaho to Ebenezer Orlando Wilcox, Jr. and Kjersti Eugenia Nordberg Wilcox and was raised in Fielding, Utah. He completed his first LDS mission to South Africa. After his return he attended LDS Business College. He served almost four years in the Army Air Force during World War II. He married Evelyn Osborn on May 15, 1942 in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with four children. Dale worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years. After retirement he returned to South Africa with Evelyn, where they worked together in the Johannesburg Temple with Dale serving in the temple presidency and as a sealer. He later served as a sealer in the Bountiful Temple. Dale is survived by his wife Evelyn, children Kristine Hall (Charles), Wendy Beesley (Frederick), Mark Wilcox (Susan), Camille Carlson (David), 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his brother Blaine A. Wilcox. We are grateful for his loving influence in our lives. The funeral will be held Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Barton Creek Ward Chapel, 640 South 750 East, Bountiful. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Dedication and burial will take place at Fielding Cemetery.
