Lauri was born on October 17, 1972, to Kim and Sue Evans. She was the oldest of five children. Lauri attended Malad Elementary, and graduated from Malad High School in 1991. In 1992, she married David O. Hubbard of Holbrook, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. In May 1993, she gave birth to their only child, Zachary David Hubbard. Lauri was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her church callings, especially those which involved participation with children. Her nieces and nephews always brought great joy and love into her life. Lauri enjoyed camping, hiking, swimming, sports, art work and doing all sorts of crafts. She also enjoyed visiting and "gabbing" with those around her, and was well-known for her "gift of gab." Striking up conversations came easy, and was easily befriended by those she met. Lauri is survived by her husband, David O. Hubbard; and child, Zachary. Her parents are Kim and Sue Evans, longtime residents of Malad. She has one sister, Kristi (Mike) Richardson of Malad. Three brothers include Willie (Charity) Evans of Nampa, Kacey (Kristy) Evans of Malad and Morgan Evans, also of Malad. Her grandmother, Ruth I. Morgan is currently living in Roy, Utah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, an aunt, a sister-in-law and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2002, at noon in the Malad Third-Sixth Ward Chapel, 200 W. 400 N. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad this evening, Thursday, June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday at the funeral home from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
