Tolman, age 52, passed away October 22, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mary was born Oct. 3, 1950 in Malad, Idaho to Adrian DeVoogd and Elisabeth VanHattum DeVoogd. Mary loved her children more than life itself. She stood by them 110% through all of life's challenges. She was loved by many and adored by all for showing them the door to happiness. Her greatest achievement in life was overcoming the death of her only daughter, Michelle Stauffer on Dec. 20, 1998. She is survived by her family; her two married sons, Mark and Michael and two granddaughters who admire her for her many strengths. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden 1st Ward, 4252 So. Bennion Road. The family will receive friends at a viewing Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the Ward.
