Jessie died Sunday, September 29, 2002, in the Oneida County Nursing Home. She married Arthur Peabody September 9, 1941, in Jerome, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple August 26, 1964. She lived all her married life in Malad, where she worked as a housekeeper at home and for many other families. She also worked at the Oneida County Nursing Home as a CNA. Jessie loved to quilt and crochet. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, of Malad; one son, Arthur (Berniece) Peabody of Tremonton, Utah; one daughter, Polly Dianne (Mike) Scott of Malad; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Nell Nieffenegger of Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, a daughter-in-law, Sheila Peabody. Funeral servic es will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2002, at noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening, Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
