Dee was born on June 21, 1914, in Malad, to Edward Gleed Williams and Martha Blaisdell. He was the second of eight children. He was educated through the eighth grade in the Malad Valley schools, and lived there all his life. He married Pearl Facer on June 3, 1938, in the Logan LDS Temple. They had four children: Bryan Dee of Logan, UT, Paula Ann Welcker of Highland, UT, Linda Kay Thomas of Montpelier, ID, and Julie Colleen Brock of Malad, ID. He also had a son, Paul Budge of Plummer, ID, from a previous relationship. Dee loved people, the outdoors, and animals. He was blessed with a bubbly, sensitive personality and loved to tell jokes to everyone he knew, or didn't know. He loved raising pure bred Hereford cattle and selling the bulls every spring and fall. He farmed, logged, and worked extremely hard on the ranch in Daniels. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to change water or show off a new calf or colt. But most of all he loved being with his wife and family. He believed in being honest and forthright with all he knew. His word was as good as any contract. He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and held many positions including life-time home teacher, executive secretary, Sunday school presidency, MIA presidency, and Elder's quorum presidency.
