Funeral services will be held for our wonderful wife and mother, 90 years old, Monday, June 30, 2003 at 12:00 noon in Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment, American Fork Cemetery. Olive was born November 12, 1912 in Samaria, Idaho to Abraham and Margaret Camp Peterson, the second of 10 children. She attended school in Malad and Salt Lake City. She married Leo Bowen on August 31, 1930 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 29, 1942. They have had a long and devoted life together. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Olive served in may capacities, including president of the ward and stake YWMIA, Primary president and on the stake board, and Relief Society presidency. She loved teaching. She was president of the local PTA several times, served as council president, and later, on the state and regional levels. All who worked with her loved her. Olive is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Leo, and five children: Walter Dean (Connie) Bowen, LouJeanne (Ron) Smith, Leo Albert (Barbara) Bowen, Susan Bowen Nell, Beverly (Richard) Anderson; 31 grandchildren; 110 great-grand-children; and eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Marvin (RaeLene) Peterson, Willard, Utah; Clifford (Lunetta) Peterson, Santa Margarita, California; and Emma Jean (Ed) Cook, Brooklyn Heights, Ohio.
