She was born April 30, 1918 in Malad, ID the daughter of James Hodge and Elva Price Williams. Jennie married Richard S. Hobbs July 14, 1936 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Mr. Hobbs passed away Aug 16, 2001. She was raised and educated in Malad, ID. She was an active member in the LDS Church with her first love of serving in the Primary organization. She loved gardening and was well known for her beautiful roses and her well tended yard. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Richard James and Molly Hobbs, Santa Barbara, CA, Jack and Nancy Hobbs, SLC, UT, Kathleen and Herm Nevenner, Murray, UT; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchild-ren; two sisters, Ruth Blaisdell, Malad, JoAnn Gifford, St. George, UT; and sister-in-law, Ardell Williams, Malad. Jennie was preceded in death by three brothers. A special appreciation to the staff at Woodland Park Care Center for their loving care of our mother. Services will be Mon. June 23, noon, Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, Old Stake Center, 200 W. 400 N, Malad, ID, Bishop Bastian officiating. Friends may call Mon. at Horsley Funeral Home 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial, Malad City Cemetery. Directors, Horsley Funeral Home. Published in the Deseret News on 6/22/2003.
