GEORGE, UT - Elroy Roe Cutler, 74, died February 17, 2003 at Dixie Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 14, 1929 in Stone, Idaho to Earl Edward Cutler and Edna Lucille Roe Cutler. He married Edna June Wade on August 1, 1950. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four children: Steven (Marva) Cutler, Michael (Susan) Cutler, Dana (Tracy) Mackay and Jill (Dale) Lyons. He served four years in the service of his country in the Navy Air Force. He retired in 1994 and moved to St. George. He loved living here and loved the people. He served in the St. George Temple as an Ordinance Worker for six and a half years until September, 2001. He served in the Bishopric for 17 years and as Bishop of the Granger 12th Ward in West Valley, Utah for five years. Elroy loved to serve in the church, in every capacity that he was called. The Lord, the Church and his family were the love of his life. Elroy loved his wife and children and they loved him. Truly to know Elroy Cutler was to love him. He is survived by his wife, Edna, four children, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Lavon Cutler of Elko, Nevada. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2003, 11 a.m., Little Valley LDS Chapel, 2079 E. 2450 S. Visitations will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m., Metcalf Mortuary and Friday, 9:30-10:30 prior to the services at the Chapel.
