She was born April 12, 1928 in Malad, ID a daughter of Jonah Morse and Thelma Jones Evans. On Dec 3, 1948, Ila Dell married G. Perry Bird in the Logan LDS Temple. She was reared and educated in Malad, ID graduating from Malad High School. She also lived in Logan, Seattle, WA, and Santa Maria, CA before moving to Ogden in 1976. Ila Dell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had been a member of the Ogden 3rd Ward and Ogden 75th Ward. She served in the Young Women's Organization as Mia Maid Leader. She also served as Relief Society president and counselor. She was a past member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Ila Dell enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and painting, cooking, gardening and sewing. Surviving are her husband, Ogden; two sons and four daughters, Michael E. (Kimbal) Bird, Dwight M. (Vicki) Bird, both of Ogden, Christine (Rick) McCullough, Alameda, CA, Linda Nez, Ogden, T.J. (John) Bond, Roy, Shanon (Larry) Fisher, Wolf Point, MT; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchil-dren; two brothers and one sister, Rex Evans, Portland, OR, Melvin Evans, Ketcham, ID, Jayne Price, Malad, ID. Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Jonah Jr., Robert, Edison. Services will be Tues. 1 p.m. Burch Creek Stake Center, 5640 S. 850 E, Bishop LaVar Williams officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, Mon. 6-8 p.m. and Tues. at the Stake Center 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.
