Wilford was born Oct 8, 1931, to Junius L. and Mary Dredge Crowther in Chambersburg, PA. Shortly after the family would make their home in Malad, ID where Wilford would grow up and later graduate from Malad High School. The community of Malad, his classmates, and friends would remain cherished by him all the days of his life. On June 29, 1970 he mar-ried, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Marjean Gibson whom he made his eternal companion and friend. Wilford lived a full and interesting life. At a young age he learned to fly and received his pilot's license. He would later work as an air traffic controller for the FAA. He also worked Hill Air Force Base. He loved learning and the sciences especially fascinated him. He attended Salt Lake Community College, Utah State, and Brigham Young University. His greatest hobby was inventing. He loved to creatively thin! k of new ideas that would make life simpler and better. One of his greatest gifts, however, was making the lives of others brighter and happier by his gentle wit and genuine interest in their lives and well being. Wilford loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a great testimony of the Savior, the atonement and Plan of Salvation. He faithfully served in every calling extended to him. He served an honorable stake mission. He, above all, will be remembered by many as a faithful, attentive, and loving home teacher. He is survived by his wife, Marjean; and by his three children, who will be forever grateful for his valiant example and love, Trina (Troy) Garlick, Timothy (Diane) Crowther, and Jay Todd Crowther. He will be remembered lovingly by his grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, and Emily Ann. He is also survived by his loving siblings who were a great strength to him in his life, Ray Sheldon (Sharolyn) Crowther, Orem, Carol (Dee) Sharp, Orem, Carma (John) Daley, Moab, Rosemary (! Leo) Wilcox, Farmington, and Vella (Keith) Perkins, Orem. We know sweetheart, Dad, and Grandpa, that you are enjoying many joyous reunions with friends and family above. We look forward to feeling your warm embrace again. Services will be Tues. Feb 25, 2003 2 p.m. Bountiful LDS Second Ward Chapel, 650 S. 200 E, Bountiful. Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful or 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the services at the chapel. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
