Jennifer was attending the University of Idaho in Moscow, after having served in the Columbus, Ohio, mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jennifer was born August 21, 1977, in Malad City, Idaho, to Steven and Mitzi Ann Hess. She graduated from Malad High School in 1995, with honors. She was active in the 4-H program, taking top honors at the Eastern Idaho State Fair with her dairy goat and sheep projects. She participated in school volleyball, basketball and track. She loved skiing, snow boarding and fishing. At the University of Idaho she was on the dean's list, and was a resident assistant at McCoy Hall. She loved people. She is survived by her parents, at Holbrook; a brother, Patrick Steven Hess, at U of I at Moscow; grandparents, Elmer and Francis Stanger of Inkom; along with uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandparents Ray and Mildred Hess, aunt, Joyce Hess, uncles, Kay Lynn and David Allen Hess of Malad. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at noon in the Holbrook LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., this evening, Friday, Feb. 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holbrook Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24 at the University of Idaho at 4 p.m. She will be greatly missed by friends in the Columbus, Ohio mission area, along with residents at the University of Idaho, and her family
