He was born May 27, 1923, in Junction, Utah, to Clive Isaac and Myrtle Gray Brinkerhoff. He married Louise Smith on Oct. 2, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple. Jack served in World War II in the Burma-China-India area. After the war, he worked at the Tooele Army Depot until they moved to Malad to help out with family. There he worked as a millwright/manager for Oneida County Grain Growers and later for Hess Pumice. Jack loved to work in his shop, where he could design, build, or repair almost anything. He was a member of the Malad LDS Third Ward, where he served in various callings. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was also a member of the Lion's Club for 35 years. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Louise; sister, Dortha Davenport; four children, Neil (Linda), Las Vegas, Dale (Jaylene), Sandy, Debbie (Mike), Orem, and Ed (Annette), Smithfield; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Jack will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel, 200 W. 400 N. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
