He was born on September 15, 1965 in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Dale J. and Fern Daniels Thomas. He grew up on the family farm in St. John and graduated from Malad High School, class of 1983. He also graduated from the Bridgerland Auto and Diesel Mechanic program. Dale Roy married Jenise Noble on June 11, 1994 in Malad. He was an active member of the Malad Gun Club. Dale Roy has worked as a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, welder, and carpenter. He was known throughout the valley for his corn crops. He loved to ride his motorcycle, fish, hunt, to be with his dogs and to trap shoot. Dale Roy was a devoted husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, grandson, and a friend. He is survived by his wife, Jenise and stepdaughter, Brittney of Trenton, Utah; 2 stepsons, Justin and Courtney of Jerome, ID; his father, Dale J. Thomas of St. John; a sister, Susan (Chris) Bowen of St. John; a niece, Taija and 2 nephews, Tyrell and Taylor Bowen all of St. John, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fern Daniels Thomas; and a nephew, Trevan Lee Bowen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel, 1250 N. 1100 W. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery.
