She was born on May 25, 1932, in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of William Allen Reed and Susan Matilda Thomas. She married Jose Martin Elquezabal on July 20, 1976. She enjoyed working with handicapped children, teaching for Head Start; served as a commodity distributor for SEICAA; worked over 30 years as the sanitation services coordinator for the Eastern Idaho State Fair; served on the Aberdeen Planning and Zoning Committee; and was a wonderful wife, secretary, cook, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Blanche is survived by her husband, Jose Martin Elquezabal; four sons, John Wilson, Calvin Wilson, Jr., Jay (Charlotte) Wilson and Jose Martin, Jr. (Von) Elquezabal; two daughters, Joy (Price) Mayer and Brenda (Owen) Young; four brothers, Edward, Tom, Jimmy and Floyd; five sisters, Marie, Ida, June, Rose and Mary; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Andy (Maria), Martina (Augustine), Maria Delores (Bernard), Marisol (Emanol) and Juanita (Juan); 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2002, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–Day Saints, Aberdeen Third Ward, with Bishop Lavon L. Warner conducting. The visitation will be tonight, Thursday, Aug. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Mortuary, 170 Idaho St., American Falls.
