He was born February 20, 1918, at Deep Creek (Malad), Idaho, a son of Isaac and Alice K. Evans Peabody. He married Jessie Diane Bloxham September 9, 1941, in Jerome, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple August 26, 1964. Jessie preceded him in death on September 29, 2002. They had made their home in Malad, where Arthur had worked at various jobs. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arthur is survived by two children, Arthur I. (Bernice) Peabody of Tremonton, Utah, and Polly D. (Mike) Scott of Malad; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Peabody. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 18, 2003, at noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, Sept. 17 from 7 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
