Lemmon, 64, of Pocatello, died Saturday evening, September 13, 2003, at her home after a lingering illness. She was born on January 2, 1939, at Malad, Idaho, to Ray H. and LaVene Morris Pilgrim. Dorcus lived in McCammon, moving to Provo, Utah in l956. She graduated from Provo High School in l957. Dorcus married L. Gene Lemmon on August 30, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1999. They had resided in Pocatello for the past 45 years. Dorcus enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking and loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served in various church positions. She served as a volunteer second-grade reading teacher for five years at Tendoy Elementary School. Dorcus was honored by the City of Pocatello for Life Contributions to the Arts in the Community. She is survived by two sons, Brad (Debra) Lemmon and Doran (Amy) Lemmon, both of Chubbuck; two Daughters, Diane (Trent) Hansen and Valerie (Mike) Jensen, both of Pocatello; 12 grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Natalie, Cami, Andrew, Heather, Benjamin, Colton, Shaun, Alexander, Kirsten and Jill; a brother, Jay Dee (Mariel) Pilgrim, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and a sister, LaRae Cammack, Rigby, Idaho. Dorcus was preceded in death besides her husband by her parents and a younger brother, Steven Pilgrim. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September, 17, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Alameda LDS Fifth Ward, 1440 Lakeview Drive, Pocatello, with Bishop Stephen W. Vanderkooi conducting. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, Sept. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave., and also at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow services in the Norton Cemetery at McCammon.
