Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian. Burial will follow at the Meridian Cemetery, Meridian. Jessie was born Jan. 8, 1920, at Malad City, Idaho, to Joseph and Eleanor Margaret Jones Nieffenegger. She was one of seven children. The family moved to Wendell, where she attended grade school. They later moved to Hagerman where Jessie graduated from high school in 1939. Jessie traveled with her sister, Eleanor, to Santa, Monica, Calif. She married Richard Stephan in 1940. They were divorced in 1942. From this union a daughter, Helen, was born. Later Jessie moved to Boise. She married Orville E. Allen on Jan. 15, 1948. Orville passed away March 13, 1985. They lived and worked in Boise Valley for 37 years. Jessie retired in 1985. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Helen (Stephan) Biermann; her two sons, Jess LeRoy Allen and Michael Bruce Allen; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Keith Nieffenegger of Casper, Wyo.; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Nieffenegger, Martha Allen and Eleanor Allen; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian.
