Donna was born June 29, 1924 in Malad, ID to Thomas Francis and Winifred McKay Budge. Donna married Dixon Miles Woodbury June 26, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had three children, Bruce Dixon, Marcia, and Mark Budge. Donna and Dixon enjoyed traveling together in connection with Dixon's job as a professor at the University of Utah Medical School. Donna received her education in Malad and at the University of Utah. She was a teacher at Whittier Elementary, Berkeley, CA, 1945-1948. Donna was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was always concerned about her family members and helped everyone in any way she could. She was an ardent supporter of education and greatly encouraged family members to get their college degree. Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, including Relief Society president, Pri-mary president, and in the Young Wo-men. She was a longtime resident of Bountiful and was beloved by her neighbors for her great service and friendship. Donna was a member of the University of Utah Women's Club and received the club's Woman of the Year award. She also served as president, 1971-1972. During that time she helped organize the Faculty Women Scholarship, which has helped many women finish their education. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, Bruce (Nancy), North Salt Lake, Marcia (Bruce) Covington, State College, PA, Mark (Ann), North Salt Lake. She leaves a great legacy for her 11 grandchildren, Kimberly, Jonathan, Scot, David, Jessica, Amy, Esther, Joel, Matthew, Jason, Thomas, Emily, and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Donna, Emma, Nathaniel. Her two sons and eight of her grandchildren have served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ. A funeral will be Wed. Jan 8, 11 a.m. Val Verda LDS Stake Center, 2651 S. 500 W, Bountiful. A viewing will be Tues. Jan 7, 6-8 p.m. Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions to the Dixon M. Woodbury Memorial Scholarship or the Faculty Women Scholarship, both at the University of Utah.
