She was born April 10, 1928, at Pleasantview, Idaho. Marie commenced school in Pleasantview, and graduated from Malad High School. She graduated from beauty school in Ogden, Utah. Marie owned and operated a restaurant in Lava Hot Springs for many years, and was noted for her fine foods and friendly atmosphere. She was a friend to all who entered her doors, and will be missed by all. Marie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marie is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lyn Isaacson of Lava Hot Springs; and a son, Brian DeLuca of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers, Carl J. (Evelyn) Isaacson of Tremonton, Utah, Isaac Dale (Helen) Isaacson of San Jose, California, Joseph Lynn (Christina) Isaacson of Weiser, Idaho; and sisters Margaret Swindle, Rula Thomas and sister-in-law, Twila Isaacson, all of Malad, Idaho; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Martin and Jetta Ipsen Isaacson, a grandson, Nathan Easter, and a brother, Stanley Isaacson. Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2000, at the chapel of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, Idaho, at noon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
