He was born November 1, 1943, at Malad, Idaho, the son of Lloyd and Lola Petersen Beeton. He married Deloris Abbott in 1963. They were later divorced. He married Peggy Spencer May 9, 1986, at Soda Springs. He was raised and educated in Malad, graduating from Malad High School. He had lived the last 35 years in Soda Springs, and had been employed by the Monsanto Co., for 32 years. Sheldon was a member of the Soda Springs LDS Second Ward. He also belonged to the Caribou Field Archers and the Idaho State Bow Hunters. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, cooking, and he especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Soda Springs; four sons, Bill and Tracy Beeton, Pocatello, Larry and Dawn Beeton, Soda Springs, Sheldon Jr., and Angie Beeton, Chubbuck, and Lee Kunz and Cheri Kimsey of Soda Springs; also a daughter, Sue and Dale Mason, Soda Springs. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Neva Bake, Tooele, Utah, and Connie Jensen, Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jerry. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 7, at noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. Friends may call on Friday evening, Oct. 6, at the Sims Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday at the stake center from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
