She was born December 8, 1945, in Malad. She was a daughter to Marion Joseph Hess and Lois Lorraine Price. She was raised and educated in Malad. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Home Economics. She was a teacher in Leadore, Idaho, Douglas, Arizona, and Wendover, Utah, for 12 years. She worked at Logan Regional Hospital and later retired to her home in Malad. She spent many years with her crafts of sewing, cooking, and painting. Many people benefited from her many talents. Rose Mary was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. Her many nieces and nephews loved Aunt Rose. Rose Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her brothers, J. Marvin (Sandra) Hess, Malad, Don Lee Hess, Malad, Kathleen (Ed) Hyde, Smithfield, Utah, and LaReta (Nick) Gugleman, Malad. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2001, in the Malad 3rd Ward Church, 400 N. 200 W., at 12 noon. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, on Friday, June 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 2, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be held at the Malad City Cemetery.
