She was born January 21, 1906, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Thomas Oliver and Elizabeth Ann Evans Williams. She attended schools in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. On August 7, 1928, she married Harold Wesley Green in Malad, Idaho. They made their home in McCammon all their married life and Thelma lived there for over 50 years. Harold passed away March 4, 1978. Thelma worked at Mae Nelson's Cafe and Tip's Cafe in McCammon for several years. She also worked at Eddy's Bread and Kraft in Pocatello. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and raising beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church and had served in the primary. Survivors include a son, Harold W. (Cathy) Green, McCammon; a daughter, Jean (Lynn) Hall, McCammon; two sisters-in-law, Ann Bell Williams, Malad, Idaho, and Grace Williams, Tooele, Utah; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers, two sisters, and a grandson. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2002, at 12 noon at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon with Bishop Wayne L. Wiegman of the McCammon Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday for one hour prior to services at the McCammon L.D.S. Stake Center. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
