Jones, 92, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Oneida County Nursing Home. He was born October 20, 1910, to Dina Davis and Joseph Parry Jones. Joe married June Williams on November 2, 1933. He is survived by his wife, June; one daughter, Madlyn (Val) Bloxham; two sons, Terrel W. (Carol Ana) Jones and Edward Ray Jones; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Beverly June; and one son, Joseph Dean Jones; three sisters, Mary, Margaret and Dorothy Cardy; two brothers, Carrol and Byron D. Jones. He attended Malad schools and the University of Utah for four years. He majored in law, history and philosophy. He was active in his fraternity and played football for the university. Joe was a lifelong rancher in Malad Valley, raising sheep and cattle. His love for Malad Valley was only surpassed by good Hereford cattle. He was president of the Pleasant View Cattle Association. He was a member of the Founding Rodeo and Fair Board of Oneida County. Joe loved fishing and hunting. He had many opportunity to hunt and fish in Alaska, Canada and Mexico. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 1, at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad, Idaho.
