She was born November 24, 1919, in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Perry Park and Blanche Elizabeth Wilkes Lusk. She spent her childhood years in Arbon, Idaho, attending elementary school there. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1937. On October 6, 1937, she married Vernal Facer Bailey. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on June 22, 1940. Together this couple enjoyed almost 65 years of marriage and happiness together. They lived on a ranch in Arbon Valley until 1974. They moved to Pocatello and lived there until Blanche moved to Park City, Utah, in May of 2003, to live with her family. While in Pocatello she worked at the Idaho Bank and Trust (now Key Bank) in the credit card department for 10 years, retiring in December of 1984. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, working in her yard and needlework. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the LDS Church and had served in various positions throughout her life, having been a visiting teacher for over 50 years. She was a member of the Cedar Hills Ward in Pocatello and the Park City Ward. Survivors are her two sons, V. Stanley and Kaye Bailey of Alpine, Utah, and Rickard D. and Sandra Bailey of Deer Valley, Utah; and a daughter, Sharla Bailey Kidder and husband, William Kidder of New York City; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Noble of Pocatello, Idaho, and Mrs. Dave (Fae) Tasher of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, parents, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at 11 a.m., in the Cedar Hills Ward, 5425 Bannock Highway in Pocatello, with Bishop Ken Hansen officiating. A viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday evening, Aug. 1 at the Colonial Funeral Chapel, 2005 South Fourth and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to services.. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
