She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born March 22, 1928 in Malad, Oneida, Idaho, the daughter of John Henry Jones and Charlotte Elizabeth Moon. She grew up in Cherry Creek and graduated from Malad High School. She married Grant R- Kay, June 8, 1947 in Cherry Creek, Oneida, Idaho. They were divorced later. She married Elmer Ilium, Feb 1, 1958. Their marriage was solemnized later in the Logan LDS Temple. He passed away Aug 30, 1992. She enjoyed riding horses, gardening, hunting and fishing, quilting, and sharing time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Malad LDS Fourth Ward. She served as a stake missionary, girls camp director, Cub Scout leader and counselor in the YW and RS. Presidencies, and other callings. She was trained as an EMT and spent many dedicated hours in service. She often volunteered for the National Cancer Society. She wrote the St. John news for the Enterprise and was a historian/photographer for the Iron Door Theater group. She enjoyed writing poetry, quilting and painting. She is survived by one brother, Arthur Jones, Huntington Beach, CA.; one sister, Dorothy Whetsel, Riverton, Utah; children: Gail Ilium daughter-in-law, Syracuse, Utah; Douglas(Maureen) Ilium, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mollie (Ted) Barnes, Bancroft, Idaho; Karaleen (James) Paridnson, Collinston, Utah; Lonnie (Phyllis) Kay, Randolph, Utah; Danny Kay, Bakersfield,CA; Patty (Tom) Willis, Shelley, Idaho; 24 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, her parents, one brother Darrell Jones, and three sisters, Lone Jones, Thella O"Keefe and Betty Gay Jones, one son, Kenneth (Gail) Ilium, Syracuse, Utah, and one granddaughter. Special thanks to the Hyperbaric Lab in Pocatello, Idaho Home Health and especially Eastern Idaho Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1920 E 17th St Suite 200 Idaho Falls, ID 83404 Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2003, Noon at the Malad LDS 4th Ward, 400 N. 200 W. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery. Viewing will be on Thursday Evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, Idaho and on Friday at the church from 10:30 to 11:45 am.
