He was born December 21, 1913, in St. John, Idaho, a son of Morris and Nellie Thomas. He was raised and educated in St. John, and a graduate of Malad High School. He married Maude Harris on December 20, 1932, in Pocatello, Idaho. They were later divorced. He was a lifetime farmer in St. John. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and doing many craft items in his later years. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Ferris) Hess, Malad, Idaho, and a son, Lamonte (Janice) Thomas, St. John, Idaho; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Erma (Cliff) Yearsley of Malad. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2001, in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening, Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and one hour prior to funeral services Friday. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
