She was born April 10, 1928, at Pleasantview, Idaho. Marie commenced school in Pleasantview, and graduated from Malad High School. She graduated from beauty school in Ogden, Utah. Marie owned and operated a restaurant in Lava Hot Springs for many years, and was noted for her fine foods and friendly atmosphere. She was a friend to all who entered her doors, and will be missed by all. Marie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marie is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lyn Isaacson of Lava Hot Springs; and a son, Brian DeLuca of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers, Carl J. (Evelyn) Isaacson of Tremonton, Utah, Isaac Dale (Helen) Isaacson of San Jose, California, Joseph Lynn (Christina) Isaacson of Weiser, Idaho; and sisters Margaret Swindle, Rula Thomas and sister-in-law, Twila Isaacson, all of Malad, Idaho; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Martin and Jetta Ipsen Isaacson, a grandson, Nathan Easter, and a brother, Stanley Isaacson. Services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2000, at the chapel of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, Idaho, at noon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery.

Knorr returned home to her Father in Heaven peacefully on October 9, 2000 as a result of a heart condition at the age of 72. Her birth place was Malad, Idaho on Nov. 27, 1927 to Arthur M. Ward and Cecil Moss Ward as the youngest of seven children. She was married to Thomas W. York, Jr. on Jan. 24, 1947 but later divorced in 1953. She then married Leland Knorr on January 31, 1957 and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 18, 1978. She retired from Utah Power. She enjoyed church service including working as a matron in the Jordan River Temple. She was a member of the Schubert Singers and donated many hours entertaining others. Mom enjoyed spending time and golfing with her family and friends. Unfortunately she had to cancel her last tee time. She is survived by her son Terrell W. York, his wife Pam and grandchildren: Tyler, Brittney Avondet, (Brian), Amy Shumway (Clayton), Trevor and Alli, and her sisters: Elaine Gardner of Salt Lake, Faye Hansen (K.V.) of Brigham City, Wanda Napier Wharton, and Theda Pilgrim of Malad, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 13, 2000, 12 noon at the Granite 11th Ward, 9855 So. 2300 East. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) Thursday, October 12, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

She was born March 6, 1931, in Athens, Maine, oldest daughter of Leland M. and Bertha Emery. Laura was raised and educated in Windsor, Maine. She was a graduate of Coney High School in Augusta, Maine, and also graduated from Secretarial Business College. She worked for the U.S. Information Service in Washington, D.C. While in Washington, D.C., Laura met J. Wesley Crowther. They were married June 11, 1955, in Windsor Maine. They traveled west on their honeymoon to make their first home in Sacramento, CA on Mather Air Force Base, where Wesley worked in the Judge Advocate General's office. Laura and Wesley and their first son were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1956. They moved back to Malad, ID in 1957. Laura worked for 25 years as a legal secretary for Wesley, and also worked at the Pocatello FBI Service Center until she retired in late 1997. Laura is survived by her husband, J. Wesley Crowther, Malad; one sister, Shirley Rollins, Winthrop, Maine; four children, James Wesley Crowther, Jr., Pocatello, ID; Diane Emery Crowther Roylance, Lindon, UT, Randall Eric Crowther, Hyde Park, UT and Carol Ann Crowther Palmer, St. George, UT. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren. Laura was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was an avid reader, loved traveling, gardening, cooking, being by the ocean and any or all family-oriented activities. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Relief Society, and was serving as a missionary in Independence, MO, at the time of her death. Laura was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 26, 2000, in the Malad Second Ward Bldg in Malad, ID. Burial was in the Malad cemetery under the direction of the Horsley Funeral Home.

He was born November 1, 1943, at Malad, Idaho, the son of Lloyd and Lola Petersen Beeton. He married Deloris Abbott in 1963. They were later divorced. He married Peggy Spencer May 9, 1986, at Soda Springs. He was raised and educated in Malad, graduating from Malad High School. He had lived the last 35 years in Soda Springs, and had been employed by the Monsanto Co., for 32 years. Sheldon was a member of the Soda Springs LDS Second Ward. He also belonged to the Caribou Field Archers and the Idaho State Bow Hunters. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, cooking, and he especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Soda Springs; four sons, Bill and Tracy Beeton, Pocatello, Larry and Dawn Beeton, Soda Springs, Sheldon Jr., and Angie Beeton, Chubbuck, and Lee Kunz and Cheri Kimsey of Soda Springs; also a daughter, Sue and Dale Mason, Soda Springs. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Neva Bake, Tooele, Utah, and Connie Jensen, Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jerry. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 7, at noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. He died of injuries sustained in a horseback riding accident. He was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Malad, Idaho, a son of Archie Levi and Letha Frances Tubbs Neal. He was raised and educated in Holbrook and Malad. John served an LDS mission to the southern states. On June 16, 1961, he married Mary Louise Hartzog in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. John farmed on the family farm near Holbrook, and it was there that he and Mary raised their five children. John had also sold insurance for a living. For the past 15 years he and Mary had resided in McCammon. John had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing, camping, vacationing and yard work. All these activities were enjoyed more if done with family and friends. John will always be remembered as a family man, and because he loved his relatives, he attended every family reunion he possibly could. He is survived by his wife, of McCammon; two sons, Lowell (Jeanne) Neal of Garland, Utah, David (Tabitha) Neal of Fielding, Utah; three daughters, Vonda (Larry) Bowen of Thatcher, Utah, Robbie (Mike) Miller of Wellsville, Utah, Louisa (Allan) Joy of Fielding, Utah; 24 grandchildren; two brothers, Bernon (Janice) Neal of Salina, Utah, Tim (Jackie) Neal of Malad; four sisters, LaRona Anderson of Orem, Utah, Bardonna Zollinger of Orem, Ilene (David) England of Orem, Diane (Tom) Chivers. As a child he moved to Farmington, where he lived until 1999. He married Maisey Kershaw Sandall, August 26, 1937 in Salt Lake. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple December 28, 1959. She died February 8, 1978. He married Elaine Manning June 23, 1978. He and his two brothers raised and sold registered Hereford cattle throughout the west. He later raised cattle with his sons and grandsons on his ranches in Farmington, Morgan, and Promontory, and Malad and Arco, ID until his death. John was a member of the Utah Hereford Assn., Utah Cattlemans Assn. and a Director of the Shepherd Creek Irrigation Company. He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, equipment operation, and restoration. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, Malad; two sons, Richard (Gerri) Potter, Malad; David (Patty) Potter, Farmington; five grandsons, John, Jay, Paul, Bryan, Brance two great-grandsons, Chet, and Michael, and one great-granddaughter, Kate. He was born October 20, 1919, in Malad City, ID, to Franklin Oliver and Mary Ann (Dalton) Madsen. Ray married Margaret Lois Dickson oon October 6, 1941 in Cherry Creek, Idaho. They were sealed at the Idaho Falls Temple on June 12, 1999. Ray worked as a rigger at the Naval Ordnace Plant, was a ranch hand, a sheep herder, and a mill operator for Simplot. He was high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in which he and Lois served as baptismal font caretakers. Ray really enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, camping and most of all, his family. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lois Madsen, Pocatello, ID; children, Larry R. (Hazel) Madsen, Idaho Falls, ID, Donna Lee (Jerry) Moeller, McCammon, ID, Neil R. (Mickey) Madsen, Pocatello, ID; brothers, Clifford D. Madsen, Boise, ID, DeWayne (Leah) Madsen, Granite Falls, WA; a sister, Faye Madsen Ward, Cherry Creek, ID; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Malad, Idaho, to Selma Marie Grell and John Helmfred Larson, the second oldest of nine. She married Marvin Tanner on March 27, 1935 in Salt Lake City. She became his eternal companion on Dec. 17, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She and Marvin lived and worked in Sunnyside, Utah. Where they were the morale of the town and lead the war bond drives. She worked in the food service business and was well known at the Lion House. She loved beautiful things and has left a legacy of embroidery rugs and watercolors for her loved ones. Her family was her greatest joy. She spent as much time as possible with them sharing their accomplishments in music, sports and life. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her husband, Marvin and one granddaughter, Carolyn. She is survived by three sisters Genevieve Peterson, Doris Mcomie and Laurine Stokes; three brothers Carl, Everett and Tony. She leaves behind three children Lloyd Marvin (Mary) Tanner, West Valley, Lynne (Darryl) Beardall, Santa Rosa, CA, Marva (Ralph) Fisher, Salt Lake City and one honorary daughter Efonda (Bob) Doughton. She has 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The most special, the Martins and the Fishers, who, with the help of others, such as CNS, especially Carolyn Murdock, devotedly aided Marmie in her wish to be at home. Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, 2000 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.

He was born April 12, 1949, the fourth child of Ivan William and Cleo Davis Schwartz. He was raised on the farm in St. John, and educated in Malad schools - graduating from Malad High School in 1968. Later, he attended Denver Automotive and Diesel College, proudly graduating second in his class. Bill married Debra Willie in the St. John church house on Aug. 18, 1967. Having lived in Hyrum, Wellsville and Brigham City, Utah, they built a home next to the family farm in March of 1971. Bill and Deb had three beautiful daughters - Julie, Jennifer and Janet. They were divorced in 1982. He married Linda Elaine Fortner on June 14, 1986. They had one son, Ivan Scott. They divorced in 1999. Although Bill worked on the farm for the majority of his life, he also held jobs at Big "C Flour and EA Miller Pack. After receiving his degree in diesel mechanics, he worked at Scott's Service, Hansen Chevrolet and Thiokol. Bill was the MVI water master for the past few years. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and flying gas-powered airplanes. He loved his family, especially his children. His mischievous chuckle and grin will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends. His tragic death leaves an abysmal hole in many lives. He is survived by his four children, Mrs. Troy (Julie) Estep, Malad, Mrs. Don (Jennifer) Phillips, Layton, Utah, Ms. Janet Powers, Logan, Utah, and his son, Ivan Scott Schwartz, Malad. He is mourned by his stepchildren, Amie Brinn, Connie Daniels and Laura Hokanson, Pocatello, Idaho, and siblings, Mrs. Joseph (Carolyn) Barnes, Malad, Mrs. Terry (JaNae) Wood, Casper, Wyo., DeLon Schwartz, Malad, Kevin (and Kathy) Schwartz, Gillette, Wyo.; Mrs. John (Ann) Wimp, Casper, Wyo., and Jean Schwartz, Malad; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephew, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, t noon at the St. John LDS Chapel, 300 W. 400 N., Malad, Idaho. Friends may call at Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, Idaho, this evening, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.

Johnson, May 15, 1943. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Max and LaRue served a Fam-ily History mission in Missouri and Califor-nia 1974 - 1976. Survived by her hus-band; children, Gary M. (Karen), Bountiful; Pam Johnson, Ore-gon; brothers, Dan Neal Thomas, San Jose, CA; Jess M. Thomas, Hyrum; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
