She was born February 5, 1924, in Malad, a daughter of Richard Eli and Ethel Thomas Evans. She was raised and educated in Malad, and was a graduate of Malad High School. Nadine married Robert D. Cleare in 1942, in Pocatello, where they resided for several years before moving to southern California. Following retirement, they moved to Malad, where they have since lived. Nadine enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, gardening and was an accomplished artist, especially in oil painting. She and Robert were the parents of four children. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Malad; two children, Stanley (Kim) Cleare and Ann (Jim) Hewson, both of southern California; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Dean (Lorna) Evans of Malad; two sisters, Carol (Dayle) Madson of Logan, Utah, Peggy (Dick) Jones of Pocatello. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Carol and Robert, and three sisters. Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 2 p.m., in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

She was born April 24, 1927 in Brigham City, a daughter of Arnold DeLoss and Martha Bradshaw Bunderson. At the age of six, her family moved to Stone, Idaho and returned to Ogden seven years later. She has resided in Ogden and Salt Lake City ever since. Donna graduated from Ogden High School in 1945 and completed many insurance seminars throughout her career as an insurance company service representative. Donna was active in church all her life, acting as ward librarian and serving in Primary and Junior Sunday School, and was a visiting teacher as well. She served two missions in the Salt Lake University Stake, and was one of the few female secretaries to a ward bishop. She was a member of the Salt Lake City Toastmistress Club, the Linden Lionettes (served as Secretary twice), and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Among Donna's favorite things were reading the scriptures and doing genealogy work. She loved her cats, her nieces and nephews, and traveling. She enjoyed her involvement with church plays (three Stake plays). Donna is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Earnest Dee (Linnea) Bunderson, Las Vegas, NV; LeRoy Victor (Lillian) Bunderson, Ogden, UT; Sally Beckstead, Vancouver, WA; Mary (Gary) Halverson, Ogden, UT; N! ila (Ralph) Dayton, Ogden, UT; as well as 50 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2nd at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with President David Hart officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning one hour prior to services. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family would like to express special thanks to the caregivers at Infinia Health Care. Udy, 93, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in Ogden, from natural causes. She was born August 15, 1909 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Eli and Ann Eliza Thomas Goddard. She was reared and educated in Malad, where she lived and worked until the time of her marriage. Iona married Eugene "S" Udy on July 1, 1939 in Brigham City, Utah. They moved to Ogden, where they resided for the rest of their lives. Eugene passed away December 15, 1995. She was a member of the Washington Terrace 3rd Ward, where she served as a Visiting Teacher for many years. Iona was a very compassionate person, caring for her aging mother for several years as well as helping her sister who had health problems. She was like a second mother to her nieces Ana Lee, Beverly and Patsy. She is survived by one brother, Don Goddard of Malad, Idaho and three nieces, Ana Lee Williams, Beverly Greene and Patsy Deschamps. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist"s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Glenn was active in the church he loved, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions including Bishop, High Councilman, Ward Clerk, Ogden Temple Ordinances worker as well as serving four missions with his wife. Surviving are four children: Paul C., Marcia (Rick) Sutton, John D. (Cynthia), and Lona (Gordon) Miller; 12 grandchildren and one great- granddaughter. Also surviving is one sister, Creola Packer. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Toller, 76, of Idaho Falls and formerly of Pocatello, died April 8, 2003, at his home of cancer. He was born June 19, 1926, in Malad, Idaho, to Henry J. and Anona Josephson Toller. He grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1944. He served with the U.S. Marines in China from 1944-1946. He graduated from Idaho State University in 1950, with a degree in accounting. On June 28, 1951, he married Mary Carline Lowry in Hailey, Idaho. He began his career as a bookkeeper for Golob Oil and then Nate Morgan Jewelers. In 1956, he began working for Farmers Insurance and in 1957, he was transferred to Idaho Falls. He retired in 1987, after 32 years as a claims representative. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and fly tying. For all eternity our Teddie will be dancin' with the fishies on the South Fork. He is survived by the following: His wife, Carline Toller of Idaho Falls; two sons, Tracy Dean Toller of Idaho Falls and Kelly Mitchell (Carla) Toller of Meridian, Idaho; two daughters, Julie Ann (Ron Skinner) Toller of Idaho Falls, Toni Carline (Brent) Culbertson of Twin Falls; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Toller of Clackamas, Oregon, and William Toller of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather, Del Dean. Private family services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary in Idaho Falls. He was born December 9, 1919 in Weston, Idaho to Alfred Orin Gill and Lena Anna Kern. He married Wanda Helen Bell on October 16, 1941 in Weiser, Idaho. This marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Wanda passed away in March of 1985. He married Dessie Smith on October 4, 1985. She passed away in May of 2002. Calvin was raised in Franklin and Oneida Counties in Southern Idaho. Much of his youth was spent working on the farms of his parents and relatives. After high school, he attended Weiser Vocational Institute in Weiser, Idaho. Calvin and his family lived in Boise, Idaho for 15 years before moving to Salt Lake City in l959. During his life, he worked for several dairies including Hi-Land Dairy of Murray. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities throughout his life, including being a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. His happiest hours were spent with members of his immediate and extended family. Survivors include his son, Francis C. Gill (Deanna) of South Jordan; daughter, Pamela Henrie (Ron) of Pleasant View, Utah; son, Theron L. Gill (Estelle) of Rigby, Idaho; son, Douglas O. Gill of Salt Lake City; daughter, Nita Malzahn (Marty) of Sandy; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Velma Stokes, Murtaugh, Idaho; Norma Rindlisbacher, Payson, Utah; and Edith Cardoza (Bert), Palo Alto, CA. He was preceded in death by his wives, parents; brother, Weldon, Elman and Marion; sisters, Asenath and Rene; and granddaughter, Kimberley Ann Gill. The family would like to thank the staff of Cordia Senior Residence, St. Mark's Family Medicine Residency, and Haven Home Health Care for their excellent service to Calvin. Funeral services will held Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 11 a.m. at LDS Church Crescent View Stake Center, 11626 South 300 East, Sandy, Utah. She worked at Hill Field in the engine repair shop during World War II. She married Eldred A. Marshall in Elko, Nevada Nov 8, 1947. They lived in Ogden. They had two daughters and one son. Her husband died Dec. 18, 1959. This left her with three young children to raise on her own. Her son, Tom, preceded her in death. She worked in the Lunch Program for the Ogden School District for ten years.She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Rhodes (Kevin), West Weber; and LouAnn Baldwin, Ogden; five grandchildren, Dustin Rhodes, Nichole (Carl) Spraw, Cy, Seth and Caleb Baldwin; and three great-grandchildren, D.J., Freedom, and Tanner. Also surviving are two sisters, Twila Silvester, Ogden; and Leah Jones, Blackfoot, ID. Rachel was a kind mother and grandmother. She loved watching the Jazz. She knew all the names of the players in baseball and basketball. She loved to walk, read books, gardening, crossword and taking care of her grandchildren. Her entire family will miss her teasing nature and stories of Bloody Bones. Bloody Bones will be missed. Orilla loved working at her own home canning, gardening, cooking and was known for her industrious personality. She loved her family and was forever serving them. Everyone loved to come to her home to eat her delicious home-cooked meals and to enjoy her sweet spirit and beautiful smile. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters: Elmer, Myrtle, Minne B. Davis, Warren Leland and Kenneth. She is survived by one sister, Vivian B. Christensen of Ft. Michael was born in Ogden, Utah, July 22, 1990. He was the beloved son of Ronald P. and Carol J. Caulford of Malad City, Idaho. He came into our lives at the age of four months of age after being shaken by his biological father. Michael became part of our forever family in the Ogden Temple. He was a member of the Malad 3rd ward. While Michael was here in spirit, he was an influence to many. He would visit schools and church groups to show the effects of Shaken Baby Syndrome. He was the inspiration behind the video, "Michael, story of a shaken baby", which is in most Davis county high schools. He will be surely missed. Michael joins his grandfather, Papa Jim Caulford, and niece, Celeste Stoker. Remaining here to keep his memories in their hearts are grandmother, Vera Caulford, of Layton, grandmother, Anna Roberts of Tillamook, OR; brother, Gerald Scott Wood (Amy), Clinton; sister, Athena Stoker, Malad; two nieces, two nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to all of the special angels, especially Christine Whitesides, Dr. Frank Kramer and Tonya at Tanner Clinic, Cynthia Clark, Dr. Johnson, Mark Cronin and Matt Larsen, and Division of Child and Family Services in Clearfield and Ogden. She was born December 29, 1915 the 12th of 13 children in Malad, Idaho to Martin and Ruth Ann Thomas Goddard. She married Chester Roderick Bailey of Malad on July 23, 1934; together they raised a family of six children and leave a posterity of 94. Chet passed away February 23, 1980. Jennie had always worked in the restaurant business in the Magna area; The Joker for six years, then in 1957 she leased and managed the Hi-Way Café, and for several years after managed the Utah Copper Club house. She was well known as an excellent cook and made the best soup and pies in town. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her kids until her health began to fail. She was a member of the LDS church and life long member of the VFW Post 7398 Ladies Auxiliary. Jennie is survived by one sister, June Thomson, of Odessa, TX; one son, Bill Bailey; two daughters, Sherrie (Paul) Christison and Joan (Dick) Pearce; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bailey; 27 grandchildren; 61 great grand-children; three great-great grand-children; and a lot of special nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Chet; two infant babies, Fred and Jannice; three sons, Gene, David, and Johnny; grandson, David Brent Jr.; son-in-law, Buck Christison; five brothers and six sisters. The family would like to express a special thanks to Ruth Ann and all the staff at Care Source for their kindness and support. She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Lawrence Daniel and Alice Marie Covert Jones. She served her country during World War II as a Navy Wave stationed in Kansas. While serving in the military, she met LeRoy James Ward while dancing -- something that they always loved to do. They were married on March 30, 1944, in Hutchison, Kan. She loved to play golf and was the club champion. She enjoyed playing cards and was a life masters in bridge. She loved playing the piano and played for many years at the Presbyterian Church in Preston. She won many bowling tournaments. She earned a bachelor's degree in business from Tulsa University and worked for the Acock Insurance Agency in Preston for many years. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Preston; three daughters and one son, Barbara (Jed) Dunkley, Las Vegas, Nev., Susan (Harold) Smith, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Beverly (Marc) Banner, Boise, Idaho, and Jimmy (Kym) Ward, Franklin, Idaho; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Julia (K.P.) Thomas, Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents; by two sisters, Jean Byrd and Jane McMillan; and by a brother, Larry Jones. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Curlew Camp. She loved to cook and she made rolls and pies at Mollies Cafe in Snowville as long as her health would allow. She was a good mother. She loved her home and especially enjoyed raising a garden and many different kinds of flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Bernice Jones and Mary Simper; two brothers, Joe Hurd and LaMoine Hurd; a grandson, Tory LaMoine Skidmore. She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Renelle) Skidmore and LaMoine (Pauline) Skidmore; a daughter, Michelle (Jeff) McGough; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Mollie Steed and the Bear River Valley Care Center for their expert care and many acts of kindness and concern. Tom was born June 18, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of George Trueman and Elizabeth Louise Engh Flinders. Linda was born December 17, 1947, in San Luis Obispo, California, the daughter of Elbert C. Jordan and Hazel Smothers. They were married on November 25, 1972, in Elko, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tom served in the Northern States Mission, as a High Councilman and other church callings. Linda had served in Ward and Stake Relief Societies, Young Women"s and Primary callings. Together they served a Stake Mission. When Tom and Linda took on the partnership of marriage, it was forever. They could always be seen together in the office, on the range, in corrals, or in the kitchen. They were truly a team. Tom"s gentle teasing was noticed by nearly all who knew him. Linda"s greatest talents lay in being a good mother, grandmother and honest friend. She liked family gatherings where she could be with her children and grandchildren and serving her family and her husband or anyone else that she felt had the slightest need. Her artistic abilities were evidenced in her home and how she attired herself. Tom was one of the brighter stars in the galaxy of humanity. He majored in Business at the University of Utah and had a tremendous zest for life. He could always hold an audiences interest when he recited "The Cremation of Sam McGee" and performing his John Wayne impersonations. He was an excellent auctioneer and loved to auction off Linda and anyone else nearby. Tom was the peacemaker in the family. He could always relieve tension with this sense of humor. He served two terms as a Summit County Commissioner, was a member of the Idaho Cattleman"s Association and past president of the Northern Nevada Farm Bureau. Linda had a love of the ocean. She loved seashells, the sound of the waves and would take walks to collect shells. She loved flowers (especially gardenias), her chickens, her dogs, working in her garden, and moving cows with her family. She attended college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. Together they owned and operated Flinders Realty and Exchange and the "Buckhorn Ranch" located in Samaria and Snowville. They both had a great love for fine cattle, horses, and range lands. They are survived by their children, Sophia Tomina (Brandon) Buttars of Garland, UT; Natalie A. (Joshua) Paskett of Samaria, ID; John Thomas Flinders of Samaria, ID; grandchildren, Taber Ann Flinders Paskett, Oakley Blue Paskett, Mesa Dawn Paskett, Britteny Ann Buttars, Tyree Callan Buttars, Daxon James Buttars, Texie Rowell Buttars. He is survived by his brothers, Leland E. , G. Melvin (Sandra) and Jerran T. (Marilyn)Flinders, a sister, Elizabeth (Ronald) Hannay. He was preceded in death by his parents. She is survived by her mother, Hazel Smothers of LaJolla, CA; her grandmother, Hilda Edward of Malad; a brother John Johnson, Wickenburg, AZ; and a sister, Gerry Jordan of Atascadero, CA. Her father preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003, 11 a.m. at the Malad 2nd Ward Chapel, 20 South 100 West, with Bishop Richard Cornia conducting. She is also survived by her grandparents, Dale and Tamera Noble of Young Ward, Utah, Gary and Vickie Spillett of Trenton, Evelyn Merrill of Trenton, Emma Noble of Logan, Utah, Dale Jones Thomas of Malad, Idaho; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Roy Thomas; two great-grandparents, Virgil Merrill and Melvin Noble; and great-grandmother, Maude Jones Thomas. Ward, 90, died March 12, 2003, at a local care facility. She was born January 16, 1913, in Hyrum, Utah, to John Carl and Annie E. Nielsen. She spent her growing up years in Pocatello Valley, which is near Malad, and in Malad. She graduated from Malad High School. She married her high school sweetheart, William G. Ward, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on June 28, 1935. Because of her husband's work in school administration, they lived in Holbrook, Idaho, Afton, Wyoming, American Falls, Soda Springs, Idaho Falls, Preston, and Pocatello, Idaho. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was an excellent secretary, which she did most of her married life. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and LaDessa Clubs, in which she served as secretary. She worked for several years as an extraction worker for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held several positions in the church. She was very conscientious and reliable. Whenever she was asked to do a job, it was done to perfection. Her membership in the church was priceless. She enjoyed her family. Camping was a favorite activity for her and her loved ones. She was a good cook, and loved traveling and embroidery. She was a very kind and thoughtful person. She is survived by two children, Dr. C. Gordon (Ann) Ward of Idaho Falls, and DeOnne (Orin Dru) Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Julie (Kenneth) Johnson and David (Holly) Ward of Idaho Falls, Robert (Kimberlee) of Pocatello, Douglas (Jamie) Ward of Vancouver, Washington, James and Richard Ward of Idaho Falls, and Sara Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday March 17, 2003, at the Alameda First Ward LDS Chapel in Pocatello, on the corner of East Walnut Street and Jefferson Avenue, with Bishop Bart Reed conducting. There will be a viewing held one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery. Born Jan. 22, 1974, in Provo, Utah, Dan was the eldest son of William Russel and Elizabeth Bott Price. >From the moment of birth, life was filled with challenges for Dan, but with a strong will and determination, he met and even exceeded obstacles. He had a lifelong struggle with sensory losses. It was a struggle for Dan to learn to communicate. He finally achieved the ability to converse with others through tactile signing. As a boy, Dan developed into a good swimmer. Throughout his life, he loved to ride his bike and go for walks. One of his greatest pleasures was an intense love for good music, particularly the classics. He memorized many of the classics from beginning to end and delighted in going to concerts. Dan's favorite holiday was the Fourth of July. For him, it was as big as Christmas. He particularly loved the fireworks. Dan was outgoing, friendly, perceptive and touched many lives. He had an incredible love for his family and friends, especially his dear mother and four brothers, who were unwavering friends and constant supporters. He was deeply grateful for the many things that others did for him. He loved and appreciated his trainers, family members and friends who helped him achieve goals. Dan spent his childhood and adult years in Hyrum and River Heights, Utah. He attended Mt. Logan Middle School, Logan High School and the Helen Keller National Foundation for Deaf/Blind Youth and Adults in New York State. He graduated from the LDS seminary program on Jan. 27, 2001. Dan also had a small part-time job at Deseret Industries. Dan had an innate love for his Heavenly Father along with the faithfulness to do all he was asked to do. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a deacon in the Aaronic priesthood. Survivors include his mother of River Heights, and four brothers, William John (Rebecca) Price of West Point, Utah, Christian Bott Price, now serving in the Macelo, Brazil mission, Thomas Eugene Price of North Logan, and Scott Jorgensen Price of River Heights. Also surviving are his grandparents, William and Helen Price of Malad, Idaho, and Eugene and Norma Bott of Brigham City, along with his many aunts, uncles and cousins. In the end, Dan is back with his bosom companion, his father, who preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 15, in the River Heights First Ward/Providence Stake Center, 800 S. 600 East, River Heights, Utah, with Bishop Troy Wakefield conducting. Friends and relatives may call at the Allen-Hall Funeral Home at 34 E. Center, Logan, on Friday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the River Heights First Ward Stake Center on March 15. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, of Malad.
