She was born August 17, 1926, in Stone, Idaho the daughter of Harvey Virsel and Angie May Cox Daley. She married Lemuel Cruseturner in 1943. She later married David T. Anderson on June 17, 1946 in Preston, Idaho. She loved to cook and she was a great cook. One of her greatest pleasures was watching people enjoy food which she prepared. She cooked at Marve's Caf/ in Smithfield and at the Beanery in Cache Junction, before opening her own "Dave and Lola's Cafe" in Logan which she operated until she was disabled by an auto accident. No one ever left her home hungry, or without being offered a piece of her homemade pies. She is survived by her children; Mrs. Bernell ( Beverly) Petersen, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Ted (Judy) Hunter, Nibley, Utah; Rick D. (Cindy) Anderson, Queen Creek, Ariz.; Daughter-in-law, Sandy Cruseturner, Logan, Utah, 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; Brother-in-law, Glen Spencer, Syracuse, Utah; Sisters-in-law, Dora Daley, Wallsburg, Utah; Pauline Daley, Blackfoot, Idaho; Numerous nieces and nephews. Her special friends, Vera O'Brien, Maurine Brown, and Howard Wahlstrom. She was preceded in death by all 13 of her brothers and sisters a son Robert L. Cruseturner and a grandson Doug]as Roskelly. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 11, at noon in the Logan City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11: 30 a.m.

Dee was born on June 21, 1914, in Malad, to Edward Gleed Williams and Martha Blaisdell. He was the second of eight children. He was educated through the eighth grade in the Malad Valley schools, and lived there all his life. He married Pearl Facer on June 3, 1938, in the Logan LDS Temple. They had four children: Bryan Dee of Logan, UT, Paula Ann Welcker of Highland, UT, Linda Kay Thomas of Montpelier, ID, and Julie Colleen Brock of Malad, ID. He also had a son, Paul Budge of Plummer, ID, from a previous relationship. Dee loved people, the outdoors, and animals. He was blessed with a bubbly, sensitive personality and loved to tell jokes to everyone he knew, or didn't know. He loved raising pure bred Hereford cattle and selling the bulls every spring and fall. He farmed, logged, and worked extremely hard on the ranch in Daniels. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to change water or show off a new calf or colt. But most of all he loved being with his wife and family. He believed in being honest and forthright with all he knew. His word was as good as any contract. He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and held many positions including life-time home teacher, executive secretary, Sunday school presidency, MIA presidency, and Elder's quorum presidency. Dee was preceded in death by his eternal companion Pearl, who passed away on October 31, 1998, his parents, and four brothers: Percy B. Williams of Pleasant View, UT, Samuel Claude Williams of Malad, ID, Glenn B. Williams of Malad, ID, and Thayne (Sod) Williams of Arbon, ID. He is survived by his five children, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a brother, Leon Williams of Darlington, ID, and two sisters, Faye Caldwell of Malad, ID, and June Jones of Malad, ID. Services will be held Friday, June 6, at 12 noon in the Malad LDS Sixth Ward chapel, 400 N 200 W. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W 300 N, Thursday from 6-8 p.m., and on Friday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.. Burial will follow the service, in the Malad City Cemetery.

She was born July 29, 1905, in Malad Idaho to William J. and Eliza Adams Evans. She married George Lewis September 8, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. They resided in Malad until his death in 1977. Mary then moved to Downey, residing with her daughter Lila (LaMar) Barnes until May 2002, when she entered Oneida County Nursing Home. She was a member of the LDS Downey First Ward. Mary loved to quilt, crochet, embroider and cook for her family. She served as a Relief Society teacher and supervisor for many years while living in Malad. She is survived by her daughter, Lila (LaMar) Barnes of Downey, and grandchildren: Ronda, Trudy, Tom, Rory (Sandra) and Chad (Tami) Barnes all of Downey, and David G. (Pam) and Randy C. (Melanie) Lewis of Bountiful, Utah. She also had numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 3, at noon at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Friends and family may call from 10:30 a.m. to time of service. Her burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.

Following their marriage, they moved to Malad, where they resided many years. Mr. Fallis passed away in June of 1974. Wanda is survived by one son, Ronald (Josephine) Rudy of Kemmerer, Wyoming; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wesley Fay Baker and Carl Baker, both of Roy, Utah, Jim Baker of Rupert, Idaho; and one sister, Stella Beck of Shelley, Idaho. She was born April 3, 1916, in Chester, to Joseph and Alberta Campbell. The family lived in Chester. She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in Sugar City in 1934 and Ricks College in Rexburg in 1936. She continued her education at the University of Idaho and Montana State University. On Jan. 11, 1943, she married Less W. Hill in Boise. They lived in Ashton where she was an active partner to Less in the livestock and farming business in Fremont, Jefferson and Clark counties. As part of this partnership she moved the family each spring to Terreton where she cooked for countless lambing crews. She was also a dedicated educator, teaching elementary school for several years in Malad and Annis before serving on the Fremont County School Board in 1959. Following this, she returned to teaching in Ashton where she spent several years teaching third grade. She loved to travel, play cards, and support her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, PEO Chapter AS, the Ashton Community United Methodist Church and the Ashton Senior Citizen's Center. She is survived by a sister, Beatrice Trupp of Rexburg; daughters, Sonja (Paul-deceased) Cherry of Moscow and Ashton, and Jan (Dick) Seeley of Ashton; grandchildren, Magen (Jonathan) Seeley-Marotz of Cheyenne, Wyo., Tiffany (Des) Seeley-Case of Jerome, Portia Jenkins of Moscow, Andrea (Andy) Taylor of San Jose, Calif., and Cade Cherry of Enfield, Conn.; and three great-grandchildren, Allison Jenkins, Kelsey Jenkins and Ethan Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, a brother and a son-in-law. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ashton Community United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ashton Community United Methodist Church or the Ashton Living Center.

His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed traveling, ranching, outdoor recreation and going for coffee before the rooster crowed. He was always there to give a helping hand to those in need. He worked for Thiokol for several years until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of the Malad Fourth Ward. Sheldon is survived by his children, Sheldon "Monte" (Danielle) Madsen of Pocatello, Michael Brooks (Melissa) Madsen of Malad and Emily Michelle Madsen (Jason Chillette) of Malad; a sister, Jeanne (Glen) Schwartz of Meridian, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and many aunts and uncles."Whitey" was dearly loved and will be missed by all. She was born October 17, 1921 in Cherry Creek, Idaho (just south of Malad), the first child of Verl D. and Vera Harris Jones. Reva was raised and educated in Malad, was a graduate of Malad High School, and played on the girl"s high school basketball team, which was undefeated. She married William "Billy" Thorpe November 22, 1939 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Most of her married life she lived in Malad. Mr. Thorpe passed away September of 2002. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in various callings through the years. Reva loved spending time with her family, was an avid sports fan, and was especially interested in local events and following the Utah Jazz. For several years she and Billy loved traveling to St. George, where they spent the winter. She is survived by five children, William Brent (Ann) Thorpe of Orem, UT; Sondra Sue (George) Dryer of Bountiful, UT; Peggy (Terrill) Schwartz, Brad Thorpe and Brooks (Loa Dawn) Thorpe, all of Malad. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda DeMasters (wife of the late Bart Thorpe) of Emmitt; a brother, Sheldon (Faye) Jones of Lava Hot Springs and a sister, Karma (Lynn) Hawkins of Pocatello. Also 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Bart J.; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Ann Judy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel, 200 W. 400 N. Ella was born on September 4, 1914, in Malad, the eldest of five children born to Chester A. and Mary Leigh Edwards. She was raised on farms and ranches in the Downey and Malad area and was educated in Downey and Malad where she was a graduate of Malad High School, class of 1932. She was married on December 25, 1932, to Dale H. Willie, who preceded her in death. They had three sons. Ella later married Herman Housner November 9, 1949, and he passed away April 6, 2001. Ella was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a teacher in Primary, Sunday school and Relief Society. She also served in the extraction program (genealogy). She was employed by Ireland Bank for 31 years and was chief operating officer when retiring in 1980. Ella loved people and her family. She was always known as friendly and helpful to all whom she met. She was a member of the Kith Club for many years and, in recent years, became an avid Utah Jazz fan. She also loved! to travel and was able to travel to Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, the Caribbean and most of the continental USA with family and friends. She is survived by her three sons, Dale R. (Donna) Willie of Pocatello, Fred L. (Cheryl) Willie of Montpelier; Dan "Mont" (Sonja) Willie of Twin Falls; one sister, Ida Mae Olson of Twin Falls; one brother, G. Joe Edwards of McCall; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one sister, Mary Peterson and one brother, Chester L. Edwards. Surnames: Williams, Eggleston, John Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Qg.2ADE/402 Message Board Post: The Daily Herald on Thursday, May 15, 2003 Cleon Williams, 83, was born to Thomas Oliver Williams and Rachel Eggleston Williams in Malad, Idaho on January 27th, 1920. He died peacefully at his Orem home with his wife of 62 years, Venna Emma John Williams of Portage, Utah, on May 13th, 2003. Cleon and Venna were inseparable high school sweethearts and were married in Malad in 1941. They later solemnized their marriage in the Logan LDS Temple in 1948. Cleon would joyfully recall the simplicity of his early years on his family's farm in Deep Creek near Malad. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, flying and boxing. Cleon was a Golden Gloves Champion and fought in the 1939 Worlds Fair in San Francisco, Ca. Shortly after marrying he gave up his boxing to defend his country and was enlisted in 1942 to the 13th Armored Division during WWII. He served our country liberating towns in northern France and Germany. He was wounded in the spring of 1945 in Dunwald, Germany while liberating prison camps. He spent two and a half years in hospitals recovering from his wounds. He was honorably discharged as a Tech. Sergeant and presented with the Purple Heart. Cleon was deputy county clerk for Onieda County, Idaho and later owned a tire shop in Long Beach, Ca. He was proud to be member of the LDS church. He served in many church positions and above all loved his jobs as a home teacher and greeter. He humbly and quietly served his friends and family. He was a gentleman who was an example of class, kindness and gentleness and always had smiling eyes that made all feel loved and accepted. All who knew him loved and appreciated him. Cleon is survived by his wife Venna, his children Sheila and the late Bill Rogers of Provo, Jerry Williams of Orem, Jeffry and Debi Williams of Spanish Fork, Carol and Steve Meadows of Orange, Ca, Gabriel and Amy Williams of Provo, his sister Mary Bright of Bountiful, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday May 16th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel 1200 N. 800 E. Orem with a viewing 1 hour prior. A viewing will also be held Thursday May 15th home 6-8 p.m. in Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 N. Orem. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Daniels, 70, of Pocatello, passed away May 13, 2003, at a local hospital. Ernest was born in Malad, Idaho, to Raymond and Rose Daniels on November 4, 1932. He attended school in Pocatello until the eighth grade. He then moved to Fort Hall, where he lived most his life. He married Violet Alverez Poog in 1968; she preceded him in death in 1973. He later married Wanda Wilson, who also preceded him in death. Ernest worked as a laborer at various farms and warehouses. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ernest loved reading, riding horses and country music. He is survived by his son, Ernest Wilson, of Pocatello, his stepchildren; a brother, Odell (June) Daniels of Pocatello, three sisters, Carolyn Farmer of Pocatello, Sherry Tillotson of Pocatello, and Jeniel Cates of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, an infant daughter and a stepdaughter. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello.

James always had an interest in and enjoyed working on cars. He is survived by his father, Vern Rogers (Maryanne); his grandmother, Emma Palmer of Preston, Idaho; two daughters, Christalina Rogers of Miton and Tiara Rogers of Washington. He is also survived by two brothers, George Rogers of Jackson Hole Wyoming and Lee Rogers (Becky) of Fairview, Idaho; Raynette (Ed) Sidwell of Preston Idaho; three sisters, Sonny Broussard of Logan, Desiree Bailey of Logan and Sidney Broussard of Salt Lake City. Friends may pay tribute to James on May 17, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Preston. Internment will be at the Lewiston Cemetery.

He was born the third child of 13 to Noah James and Esther Hall John. He married his first sweetheart, Sara Emma Richards on June 23, 1936 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had three children, Delorise (Kennard) Hales of Tremonton, UT; S. Jay (Christina) John of Carlin, NV and E. Marie (Kyle) Hughes of Bountiful, UT. His wife, Sara, passed away March 14, 1943. He later married Hilda Schwartz on February 15, 1945; she died Sept. 28, 2001. They had one daughter, Sylvera Kay (Dale) Claiborne of Brunswick, Georgia, who passed away Sept. 25, 2002. Sylvera was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in several callings. He lived a full and happy life. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, wives, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by many loving family and friends Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 6th Ward Chapel, 200 W. 400 N. Emma was born on Oct. 6, 1917, in Samaria, Idaho, to William M. Price and Ann (Hamblin) Price. She was raised in Samaria and later the family moved to Malad. Emma moved to Pocatello when she was a young woman where she met her husband of 63 years, James H. Richards. They were married on Dec. 31, 1939. Emma and Jim made their home in Pocatello for several years where two children were born. After Jim retired, they move to Graham, Wash., near Emma's brother. She enjoyed the area and landscaping the yard. After a few years Emma and Jim moved to Nampa where they continue to reside. Emma is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Judy Tribble; son and daughter-in-law, Jim (Maria) Richards; three granddaughters, Ana (Kevin) Tams, Carol Richards and Diane (Kevin) Price; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Thomas and Annie Jones; brother, Earl H. Price; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Vera Roderick, Ida Sanderson, Katheryne Dechamp; brother, William H. Price; and a grandson, Thomas T. Tribble III. Special thanks to the Mercy Medical Center ICU and the Respiratory Therapy Staff.
