A few years ago the Idaho County Gen Society asked me to come up and do a presentation on the Idaho Co Genweb. I didn't know what to do, so I made up a power point presentation. My presentation was to a bunch of old gals that weren't too good on the computer or the web, so I tried to show them how to navigate the site, etc. I also included an overview of the whole Genweb project, with a little history of it. Then I did screen shots of some of the pages on the Idaho County site and also some records that needed transcribing and how I went about that part. I also made up some flyers about the Genweb project and passed those out to them all. I was very nervous at the beginning, but after I got going, it was really fun. They were all so interested and had tons of questions. It turned out to be a fun thing to do. They still put a plug in the Idaho County newspaper for me on occasion listing the Genweb site address. I think that whatever you do, as Tim says, make it fun. If you build it, they will come. . . . Keep us up on how it goes.
