Hello to all! During the last three weeks seventeen Idaho counties in the USGenWeb Idaho Archives have been rebuilt. Hopefully, the rest will be completed within the next six weeks. The Archives are being compressed from approximately 500 HTML index pages to a more manageable approximate of 175. For those of you that link to the Idaho Archives ... please be aware that the old URL http://usgwarchives.org/id/idfiles.htm is no longer an updated site. This is basically a backup server today. To the best of my knowledge none of the HTML index pages get updated. The file manager listed on them does NOT respond to e-mail. This is one of two backup servers for the USGenWeb Archives and only TXT and JPG files are updated. The new URL for the active USGenWeb Idaho Archives is http://www.usgwarchives.net/id/idfiles.htm . Best regards, Mitch Ryder
Fabulous!!! Your hard work on this is really appreciated. I'll check to make sure that all the state pages that link to the archives use the proper URL.
