Hey Idahoans & Others, IDGenWeb Project (http://idgenweb.org/) The IDGenWeb Project has been updated. We are featuring a couple of new items to see if others like this addition to our website. First, is our "Idahoan Legacy Roots" featuring the Tremelling Family courtsey of Christine M. Storey with two photographs of her ancestors. If you have some information you would like to share with our patrons. Contact the State Coordinator or SC Assistants (http://idgenweb.org/contact.html) to how you can add your Idahoan ancestor. Secondly, our "Genealogy Research Techniques" featuring a recent airing of Who Do You Think You Are? by NBC with Reba McEntire's journey back through her mother's family history. Ancestry.com provided three easy steps to find out why our ancestor had made the choices they've did through clues from existing records, and sometimes beyond. Come over to watch the video and read about those three steps. We hoped to add other tips or techniques on how to research genealogy. if you have any ideas contact the State Coordinator or SC Assistants. Thirdly, we have the following counties up for adoption: Adams, Bonneville, Butte, Canyon, Custer, Fremont, Gooding, Jefferson, Madison, and Owyhee that could use some TLC of some magical hands to keep their site updated regularly. If you are interested contact the State Cordinator or SC Assistants. (http://idgenweb.org/contact.html) Last of all, but not least, we are on Facebook. If you are a facebook user and would like to be keep up-to-date on some of the active discussion from most of our twenty plus members. Come join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/idgenweb/ and read some of our conversions or ask some questions. Thank you for your patrons and have a great day, Matt Friend State Coordinator http://idgenweb.org/ -- *Matthew D. Hi! Sounds like alot of work and a pain too, but I know you can get it done with your perseverence. Nice work and yes I will keep submitting, I am still having problems setting up a page with all these minidoka pictures. I keep trylng but it just does not work??? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matthew D. I have been trying to take the last year since the previous file manager to see what links are missing, etc. it is a pain in the butt at times. Right now I am changing the format of the pages to just have in each county a TOC with "topic" related links then follow it with the link to that "topic" related to the submitted links of that "topic" such as "Newspapers". Then I would create my TOC for the past year and check it up against what is there or not there. I have found some not there and some just don't have a link to. I hope you keep on submitting. I just now working on the last month since the last time I've done it. At the same time, I am updating those pages with the new format and check the links. Hi! out of curiosity do you know why some of the counties make it so impossible to find the archives for that county. Lots of people put information into the archives but have asked why they cant find that link from the county page? I did check and there are several county pages that seem to want to hide the archives link???? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matthew D. Hi Matt, YES i know about the Adamsons murder by their son in law. I put several articles about it in the blaine co archives quite a while ago. My family came from carey. I think all the articles were added about it. The family is buried in Carey but cameron is buried in hailey. They would not allow him to be buried in carey. my grandparents on my dads side was living there at the time, the house still stands but after many attempts it finally was remodeled and lived in. Some say its haunted??? The Adamsons were very LDS and Cameron wouldnt join church. Let me know if you find it in archives or if you need more info. Names of the victims: John, Margaret and James Adamson, and 18-months-old granddaughter Cameron. Murderer was William Cameron. One article state Cameron's wife filed for divorce and was alive whereas the other article states Cameron's killed his wife. The date of the killing was on 29 Oct 1915 since each member of the household were reported in the Idaho Death Index that day. And I would like to see if any obituaries were submitted for the Adamson family. Thanks, Matt Friend -- *Matthew D. I am not sure which Idaho Statesman it would be in. I just don't see any of the Ancestry.com with the year 1915 in the month of October about 29, 30, 31. All I know is that the killing took place on the 29 and the murderer died a day later from his conflicted wounds. I would like to see if there are any obituaries on the family John and Margaret Adamson James Adamson Isabel (Adamson) Cameron 18 months old Daughter Cameron All died on 29 Oct 1915 in Carey, Idaho. If I don't get any other response than I will take your offer. I will expect it from you to look, otherwise if someone else go sooner. i will let you know. Okay? Matt P.S. Thanks! Is that the Idaho Daily Statesman published in Boise from 1888 on? If so, I've found it on microfiche at the BYU library. It might be a couple of weeks before I get down there, but if you don't find a sooner source I'd be glad to look at those days for you. Mike On 3/2/2012 11:18 PM, Matthew D. Idaho, Lewis and Nezperce counties checking in. Still working on some cemetery stuff. Currently I am working with the BLM to get a solitary burial marker date corrected and just found out today they "may" also put an interpretive sign up as well. Yeah! I thought I pass this along to those of you who would like add a nifty script that disable right-click function. The right click function is to keep people from copying your web pages. It is a simple script but not 100% fool proof to those who knows how to view the source files to copy & paste your stuff. But it will help some people. <smile> Place this script just pass the <body>, before your other stuff ... <script language=JavaScript> <!-- //Disable right click script III- By Renigade ([email protected]) //For full source code, visit http://www.dynamicdrive.com var message=""; /////////////////////////////////// function clickIE() {if (document.all) {(message);return false;}} function clickNS(e) {if (document.layers||(document.getElementById&&!document.all)) { if (e.which==2||e.which==3) {(message);return false;}}} if (document.layers) {document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);document.onmousedown=clickNS;} else{document.onmouseup=clickNS;document.oncontextmenu=clickIE;} document.oncontextmenu=new Function("return false") // --> </script> Matt Friend -- *Matthew D.
