I think my combination of Spam Assassin, Spam Butcher, and Thunderbird Junk Controls keeps me from having to see most of those. I have seen a few advertising driven websites that try to increase their hits, and therefore revenue, but getting links placed whereever they can. But I've never received a request like that I was even remotely tempted by. Mike On 7/9/2012 9:46 PM, Sharon McConnel wrote: > I periodically get strange e-mails suggesting that I add links. I periodically get strange e-mails suggesting that I add links. One time the sender claimed to be a teacher & said her TA found the site & she would take her to lunch if added the suggested link. Another time the sender said she would give her students extra credit if I linked to the suggested site. This sounds like some kind of phishing to me, but I fail to see what the pay-off is. Has this happened to anyone else? Sharon

Idaho and Lewis counties here. Have been working on the Lewis county site a bit. Will continue with that. And have done a few updates to cemetery records on the Idaho County site. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. The parade here in Grangeville today was about an hour long and well worth watching. Some awesome floats and other entries! Don't know where all the people come from, but we have been celebrating Border Days here since 1912. (I haven't, I'm not that old. Tee Hee!) My great aunt rode a trick horse in the very first Grangeville Border Days. We have had rodeos here for the past three days and can't wait until the fireworks tonight. They always put on a great show! Happy 4th of July, Idahoans! I hope this day brought you and your family together for a BBQ and just being together. If not, then I hope it was an enjoyable day. I hope it was a safe day too while our nation in high risk for fire. May your 4th of July bring back memories of what our past had brought us to this day. Boise County checking in - just returned from a camping trip on Trail Creek in Boise Co - took the granddaughters and great grandkids. Everyone had a great time... Glad it is still pretty green and moist there - not as dry as other parts of the state seem to be right now - just dusty roads which is typical any year.
