I hope this email finds everyone already in full bloomed spring and ready to start your garden for the year. I know I would, but, other things has to be done first around the house, like much needed floor repairs. Just a reminder that national election month will be coming up in the future (I believe its in June). I am going to be turning in a quarterly report of all new and current team members to the EC. I know there's been a few new members since last election. I will be sending in more instruction on how to get register for that as soon as I get all of the epaper turned in. Well, another semester has gone and passed but I'm still working on my final two essays. I couldn't complete them by April 28th, so I requested for a 30-day extension and still working on my writing for one right now. The other will began later in the week after I finish this essay. I had hoped to have been done but I couldn't. Not enough hours in the library for me to pull a long days of writing. I can't do it at home for there isn't any "quiet" and "comfortable" place for me to finish this kind of work. I hope all is well with everyone. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you. I do want to send my condolences to Chris Story for her recent passing of her spouse. From the last I heard Scot Stout is doing well and adjusting to life in his own way. Coy Jones had surgery recently and it went well for him but he'll be back online again soon after his recovery. I send out my thoughts and prayers for those who I haven't mentioned or don't know of your circumstances. Please do let me know if something comes up in your life that might need my attention. Oh! Coy Jones checking in to let you know I am here and hopefully will have some new things to add to the Gooding County page shortly. Been trying to familiarize myself with a new language HTML. I appreciate Sharon for her willingness to help with this. I am hoping I can accomplish some neat things. I got involved in genealogy after I went to College and found out that such a thing existed. Like most families, mine were not that great at keeping journals, photos. It is nice to say that great progress has been made in identifying a good number of them and learning a little about who they were, what they did for a living. I am a firm believer that if we do not keep our history, study it, we will repeat many of the problems that went on before. It is a beautiful day in Gooding, Idaho. Our annual election is just around the corner, and a majority of the EC positions are being vacated as long time volunteers are moving on or retiring. We need several volunteers to fill the vacant positions on the Election Committee. Any member of the project eligible to vote is eligible for membership in the EC, the exception being members of the Advisory Board. Please consider volunteering to the Election Committee. The EC is an interesting and very friendly group; and next to maintaining your individual web sites, the work you will do with this committee is one of the most important and necessary jobs in the USGenWeb. The EC is charged with conducting the National Election each summer, but also conducts appropriate polls and SC elections upon request, as well as maintaining the member and voter registration lists. I really like Filezilla. Although it doesn't specify Windows 8, I suspect it will work.
