If you want to get it set up I would be interested in it as I already added files to it and it joins my counties(plus I had relation there)Let me know! I got my Cassia marriages in okay WOW! You might check the county page as I added and changed on it! Wonders don't stop. 3. For everyone's information, it's best not to pass addresses and phone number on this list as it is archived and available online. It is best to pass them privately, directly to my email address: mike@saintclair.org. Let me know if I can help you get access to the Cassia county marriages. I can see they are on microfilm from 1874 through 1934. That's three full reels of images. If you can't get at those locally, I could copy some and send a few pages at a time if that would be useful. What is the Luella Petition? Maybe some of us can help. I'd be delighted to help you get search engines on your three county sites. How about I set them up, then send you the code you would need to insert and send you the account information and passwords? I would set those up using FreeFind. Does that sound okay to you? I do have all the sites connected to the Idaho State search engine, but it sometimes takes weeks or even months for a new resource to show up. It can be very handy to have county specific search engine that will update weekly. 1. [IDGEN] New County Vacancies and a new CC assignment
    2. Mike St. Clair/ST
    3. I have added Bonneville, Clearwater and Jefferson Counties to the list of adoptable counties in IDGENWEB, and have decided to at least temporarily adopt Fremont County as County Coordinator. All of these changes have resulted from a former coordinator who has not been making updates to the pages for years and has not been in communication with the project. I don't take this action lightly, but have worked very hard to try and establish some communication. One purpose of the new monthly roll calls is to make sure this sort of situation is not developing without any of us knowing it. And rest assured that unusual circumstances that lead to a dry spell in being able to take care of a county you hold and/or missing a roll call from time to time, will not lead to dismissal. There has been some discussion in USGENWEB about the possibility of requiring direct contact information (e.g. addresses and phone numbers) from CCs to allow contact in the event of an emergency, such as the complete breakdown of communication. The State Coordinators are already required to provide that to the National Coordinator. It is not a requirement at this time, but many of you have chosen to provide that sort of information to me. If you chose to do that, I promise I will not misuse the information, such as posting it online, providing to others, or making trivial use of it to contact you when electronic contact through email is working perfectly well. In fact, except for a couple of contacts with my Assistant State Coordinator I have never needed to do so, and that was only with prearrangement during travel. However, if I had the appropriate phone number, I would make use of it to contact anyone I was considering dismissing if email was not producing any responses, and if that didn't work I would try the regular mail route before taking any action. If you would like me to have that option, feel free to provide me with that information. Here is a summary of the adoptable counties and the three which have temporary coordinators at the present time. This is copied directly from the page: http://www.idgenweb.org/idgenweb_main_volunteers.php What counties are available for "adoption?" We are looking for enthusiastic county coordinators. Read through the other material on this page to determine if such a responsibility is a good fit for you. Then, if you have some knowledge about one of the vacant counties and are interested in "applying" for the job of county coordinator, let the State Coordinator know. You needn't be located in or near a county in order to apply, although some ancestral connection and some knowledge about how to do research in that county is the norm. If you are interested in a county but don't see it listed, you can ask to be placed on the waiting list should that county become available in the future. In the near future, the waiting list will be publically posted. * Bonneville * Clearwater * Custer * Elmore * Gooding * Jefferson * Lemhi * Lincoln * Minidoka We have other counties that are being temporarily coordinated as special assignments. If you have a special interest in one of the following, you can notify us of that. Once some needed repairs have been made, these counties may be moved to the "vacancy" list. Some may be retained by those with the current special assignment. * Adams * Fremont * Madison

    3. Some of the items that I've previously posted to the archives I've now posted to the state project so as to take advantage of our search option.  From some of the inquiries I've received, I don't think folks are taking full advantage of all the projects & options. Thank you, all. I do need to spend some time on Boise County. I had hoped to take some headstone photos in the western county, but the cold weather got a head of me. ________________________________ From: Mike St. Clair/ST <mike@saintclair.org> To: idgen@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, December 7, 2009 10:24:04 PM Subject: Re: [IDGEN] Boise County Shalamar is having some computer problems that hopefully will be worked out soon.  I'm not against anything being contributed to the archives, but would also like to have our state project and our counties have the option to make use of the same directly.  I really appreciate what you are sharing with Sharon.  I think she will make very good use of it.
