I'm sorry to let you all know that one of our long term coordinators, Tim "Pita" Harper, will be leaving us. He finds his overall workload no longer allows for the time he has spent maintaining his counties in IDGenWeb and he is releasing them for adoption by other interested parties. Tim has been a real asset to the project and we will miss him. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors and asssure him that if things change he will always be welcome back. Tim's counties have been: Benewah Latah Nez Perce Shortly they will be moved from Tim's personal server account to our state server account and be added to the list of available counties. If you know a good candidate, be sure to let them know. Mike St. Clair IDGenWeb State Coordinator

sounds great; also, last time I was in state archives, Rod said he would love to give the genweb volunteers a tour, etc & they are open on Saturdays -- that may be too much to squeeze into one wkend, but it's something to keep in mind. ________________________________ From: Mike St. Clair/ST <mike@saintclair.org> To: idgen@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, May 21, 2010 9:35:57 AM Subject: [IDGEN] Idaho Genealogical Society Celebration this fall On October 8th and 9th, the IGS is having a big celebration that will include meetings in the newly renovated Idaho State Capitol Building. I'll be speaking on the program, date and time to be determined. I've also been offered an opportunity for IDGENWEB members to meet in a board room at the Capitol, which would be pretty neat. If you are within range of Boise, I'd like to both invite you to the celebration, and to meet with some of your fellow IDGENWEB members in an impressive environment. I am about 2 hours away and if all the trips to Boise for medical reasons are done by then, that might be a fun trip instead of pokes and pills.
