Mary Jane was born April 29, 1916, at Biggsville, Henderson County, Ill. She was the daughter of William Arthur and Carrie Creger Hubble. She lived with her parents in Fairview, Idaho. Her father operated a farm there before moving with her parents and a younger brother David Lee to Lewiston. She attended school in Lewiston through the eighth grade. She kept busy helping with the farm chores and housework. She looked forward to gardening every year. It was her favorite thing to grow corn, potatoes and carrots. After her mother died, her father married Annie Thompson, who she lived with for 55 years. A daughter, Shirley Ann, was born to this union. Mom was a sweet gentle person who taught Mary Jane about the church and homemaking skills. Mary Jane was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She read scriptures and the Ensign regularly and loved attending church. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Ann (Monty) Young; and Shirley's daughters, Edie Michelle, Sharla Ann and Tiffany Sue; and Shirley's grandchildren: Kierra, Nate and Kaleb Serus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Carrie; her brother, David Lee; and second mother, Annie. Shirley wishes to express gratitude to Access Hospice for their loving care, her family: Keith and Carlos Thompson; Cleone and Richard Allsop; friends: Steve and Vicki Bodily, the Halls, Del and Joycelyn Tarbot, the Lewiston 2nd Ward Relief Society and Bishop Kent Buttars. Funeral services will be held Friday Sept. 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Lewiston 2nd. Ward Church, 10 So. 1600 West, Lewiston, Utah.
