She was a very special lady and was loved and respected by everyone. Karma was only 3 years old when her mother passed away, leaving her and her father so very alone. On April 3, 1940, she married Frank B. Roper in the Logan Temple in Logan, Utah, and from this union three children were born: Steven B. Roper, Linda Roper Winward and Rick B. Roper. Karma served in many church auxiliaries including Primary president, a stake Primary counselor, MIA teacher, spiritual living instructor as well as Relief Society secretary, chorister and various class leaders. Thirty-six years of her married life were spent on the Roper Ranch with her loved husband, Frank, in Thatcher, Idaho. During these years, many hours of hard work, challenges, love, fun, and memorable experiences were made and shared. In 1975, after 36 years of rewarding farm and ranch life, they sold the ranch to Carter Brothers and moved to Smithfield City, Utah, where they shared their remaining years. Her dear husband preceded her in death in the year 2002. Still surviving are her children, Steve (Diane), of Willard, Utah, Linda (Fred), of Arimo, Idaho, Rick (Ila) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and their families, which include 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 12 in the Smithfield Stake Center, 600 East 120 South in Smithfield, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at the Smithfield City Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Missionary Fund and/or Humanitarian Aid of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
