He was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Williston, N.D., the son of Lewis William and Laura Fisketjon Palmer. He married Linda Pearce on Feb. 14, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nev. He lived in Preston most of his life. He was a mink rancher and loved his work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, skiing and all types of family activities. He was a member of the Preston Elks Lodge, and he loved to travel. He was a real gentleman. He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Preston; one son and two daughters, Lewis (Staci) Palmer of Preston, Michele (Jim) Payton of North Ogden, Utah, Alison Palmer of Preston; eight grandchildren; and by a brother, Ron (Mern) Palmer of Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in the Preston Community Presbyterian Church, 206 E. 2nd North, Preston, with Pastor Michael Butler officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
