A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 9, at the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 10, 2008 at the Melba LDS Ward Chapel, 112 Randolph Ave. in Melba with a viewing to be held at the church from 10 to 10:45 prior to the services. Arrangements are being provided by the Zeyer Funeral Chapel. 467-7300 Vilate was born Aug. 20, 1918 in Riverdale Idaho to James Plum Tate and Susan Jane Muir Tate. She married her sweetheart, Bryant Golightly in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Aug. 20, 1936. Vilate was a constant companion to her husband in ranching, fishing and traveling. She was known for her rag rugs that she made on a loom, and for her lovely flower garden around her home. Vilate is survived by four children: Gerry (Kathy) Gol! ightly of Colorado, Ann Golighlty of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marie (Mark) Hoagland of Melba and Clinton Golightly of Nampa, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Susan Packer Mecham. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bryant; two grandchildren; Edward and C.B. Golightly, and two sisters; Letha Packer, Thea Woolf and three brothers; Milton, Grant and Dwane and one daughter-in-law; Barbara. If any wish, a memorial tribute can be given to the Melba Quick Response Unit, P.O. Box 189, Melba, Idaho 83641 or the Melba Valley Senior Center, 155 Base line Road, Melba, Idaho 83641, The family wishes to express appreciation to Life Doors Hospice for their kind and loving care given to their mother.
