Brown, 80, our loving mother and grandmother passed away Thursday June 5, 2008. Claudia was born September 30, 1927 in Preston, Idaho to Elmer and Velda Beckstead. She married LaFarr Brown, June 20, 1948 which was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple, April 26,1962. Claudia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had served two full-time missions in Florida and Oregon and had served multiple missions at the family history center in Salt Lake City. She was a loving mother of 2 daughters and 2 sons. Claudia enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. She also loved working on her family history and spent much time on her genealogy. She is survived by her children Angela (Thayne) Rasmussen, South Jordan, Marcia (Curtis) Henderson, Spanish Fork, Ronald Brown, Woodland, California, Daniel Brown, Cimmeron, New Mexico; her sisters Roma Hymas and Ethel Parry Anderson, of Twin Falls, Idaho and her brother Gordon Beckstead of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death and welcomed by her husband, LaFarr Brown, her parents, her sisters Marlene Swindell and Beverly Beckstead and her grandson Cory Blake Henderson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 12th Ward Chapel, 1150 East 1240 South. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
