He was born November, 27, 1930, in Virginia, Idaho to Erik W. and Maria Elizabeth Fredrickson Olson. He married Dorothy Allen on June 27, 1963 in Preston, Idaho. David graduated from Mc-Cammon High School in 1949 and was active in athletics and played on the all-star team. He enlisted in the Navy in September 1950 and served aboard the amphibious flag ship USS Mount McKinley. He was in the Far East, in Korea twice, Japan, and Pearl Harbor. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and flowers. David was known for his honesty and integrity. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, of Preston; his children and their spouses Ronald Reed Wakley, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Helen Kekuna, Mililani, Hawaii; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother Evan Olson, of Burley, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Ella Martin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26, 2008 ,at 1 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, in Preston, with Bishop Blayne Rounds conducting. Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Condolences may be sent the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
