Peterson, 53, of Boise died Jan. 28, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Born June 3, 1954 to Stanley Earl Peterson and Donna C. Jensen in Preston, Idaho, Blake was the third of a family of four children. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Lehi, Utah where his father, Stanley, worked for Utah Power and Light. His father was eventually transferred to Rexburg, Idaho and the family settled in St. Anthony, a small town a few miles away. Blake graduated from South Fremont High School in 1972. He found work at the Idaho Stud Mill before becoming employed with Morrison-Knudson helping to build the ill-fated Teton Dam. He then went to work for Contract Steel Contractors for 13 years as a rod buster. For the last few years he worked for JC Contractors in Boise and helped to build some of the tallest buildings in downtown Boise. His favorite hobbies included cheering for his beloved Seattle Seahawks and Boise Broncos football teams, golfing, and coin collecting. He is ! survived by two brothers Paul, Bruce (Kathi) of Salt Lake City, Utah and one sister Karen George (William) of Wind Gap, Penn. He is also survived by a son, Timothy B. Sanchez (Janelle) and two grandchildren Blake and Tierani of Emmett, Idaho. He was preceded in death by both parents. A viewing will be at Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock Street, Boise on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 from 4 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Summers Funeral Home, following the viewing. Burial will be at the Mink Creek Cemetery in Mink Creek, Idaho, scheduled for next week. Published in the Idaho Statesman on 1/31/2008.
