She was born June 16, 1943, in Montpelier, Idaho, a daughter of Daniel Otto and Susie Lillian Widmer Hirschi. She attended schools in Thatcher and Grace, Idaho, and graduated from Grace High School. She also lived in Lava Hot Springs for several years. On November 24, 1961, she married Kenneth Bart Harrison in Thatcher, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple November 24, 1971. She and Ken lived in Boise for five years and moved to Pocatello, where they have lived since 1974. She worked as an assistant manager and cook in the central kitchen for School District 25 for 25 years. She was active in the LDS Church, having served as a visiting teacher and visiting teaching supervisor, Young Women secretary and Primary teacher. She liked gardening and flowers. She was past president of the Pocatello Food Service Association. She was a precinct volunteer for many years during the elections. She also liked to participate in the cancer walks each year. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth B. Harrison, Pocatello; her mother, Susie Lillian Widmer Hirschi, Grace, Idaho; two sons, Kenneth Brett (Tammy) Harrison, Colleyville, Texas, Daniel Bart (Twyla) Harrison, Thomas, Idaho; three daughters, Pamela Kaye Harrison, Arlington, Virginia, Melanie Dawn Harrison, Pocatello, Cheryl Ann Harrison, Pocatello; two sisters, Eldene (Paul) Robinson, Soda Springs, Idaho, Carolee (Roger) Empey, Soda Springs, Idaho; eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Otto Hirschi, and a brother, LaVar Edward Hirschi. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Highland LDS Seventh Ward Chapel, 2000 S. Fairway Drive, with Bishop Mike Summers officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, Feb. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery at 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
