He was born April 6, 1991, in Soda Springs,Idaho, to Vince Call and Autumn Ronette Perkins Kofoed, later adopted by Jay Verl Kofoed. Curtis had lived in Soda Springs until the age of 8, then to Preston until the age of 14, and moved to Blackfoot in 2006. He attended schools in Soda Springs, Preston, Idaho Falls, Vikin Middle School in Colorado, and Snake River High School since 2006. Curtis was a very likable young man and made friends wherever he went. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a Star in Boy Scouts, participated in wrestling and football in two national championships in Little League Football. Curtis broke the squat lifting record and excelled as the audio and light technician at Snake River High School. He won the arm wrestling tournament at EISF. He was really into his music and liked computer and video games, and was interested in a military career. He worked at Hollywood Video. He is survived by his parents, Jay and Ronette Kofoed of Blackfoot, and Vince and Melissa Call of Idaho Falls; sister, Cammi Kofoed (11), brothers, Cannon Kofoed (6), Caden Kofoed (4); stepsister, Leandra Griffin (18) of Ft. Collins, Colorado; stepbrothers, Joseph Griffin (16) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jeffry Millard (15) and Vincent Millard Call (10), both of Pocatello; grandparents, Wendy and Reid Lester of Grace, Idaho, Kenyon and Suzanne Kofoed of Blackfoot, Dale and Joanne Dursteler of Henry, Idaho, Ron and Carol Perkins of Thayne, Wyo., Willie and Cindy Call of Soda Springs, Idaho, LaNae Call, Winnemucca, Nev.; greatgrandparents, Edith Hines of Soda Springs, Idaho, Clyde and Shirley Kofoed of St. George, Utah, Beth Beus of Soda Springs, Idaho, Sheila Call of Bancroft, Idaho, and Cora Dursteler of Grace, Idaho; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008, at the Blackfoot Northwest Stake Center, with Bishop Kim Poole of the Riverside Third Ward officiating. A viewing will be held Friday evening, Feb. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., and for one hour prior to the funeral at the stake center Saturday.
