She was 91. Faye was born on October 16, 1916 in Preston, Idaho to George Lowe Fail and Daisy Davis Fail. She was the fourth of five children. The family moved to Provo, where she graduated from Provo High School in 1935. Following her graduation she married Max Donald Williams with whom she became mother to five children. They were later divorced. In 1949 she met and married, "the love of her life", William V. (Bill) Johnson. They had two children. They moved to South Ogden with their family in 1956. In 2002, after 53 years of marriage, Bill passed away. Faye was a member of the LDS Church and received special recognition for her service in Primary and as a leader of Young Women. She was loved by those she taught and always had something fun for them to do. Her zest for life and ability to have fun will forever be a legacy. She loved "Road Shows" and had the unique gift to create costumes and use cosmetics with the skill of a professional. Her talent at the piano will be long remembered. She loved her family and lived for them. To her, the children could do no wrong and the only gift she ever wanted was to know that they loved her. In return, she was loved by her children and grandchildren. She had a talent for making each of them feel that they were individually, the "favorite" and most loved of all. During her more active years she loved to bowl and golf and enjoyed the friendship of her teammates. In her later years she enjoyed camping with her husband, Bill, at Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway, Utah. They relished fishing on Deer Creek Reservoir, breathing the fresh mountain air, and just being together. On her 90th birthday, most of the families were able to gather to celebrate the life of this grand lady. She is survived by her children, Douglas G. (Nancy) Williams of Kaysville, Kaylene (Paul) Wadley of St. George, Robert E. Williams of Yuma, AZ, Jeffrey K (Karen) Johnson of Washington Terrace and Cindy Hurst of Washington Terrace; 29 grandchildren and 62 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, George Fail and Max Fail; two sisters, Daisy Peay and Flora Louise Mitchell; two sons, David Williams and Michael Williams; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at South Ogden 6th Ward Chapel, 4380 Orchard Ave in Ogden. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Leavitt's Mortuary 836 36th street and one hour prior to the services at the ward. Interment will be at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our sister, Cindy Hurst who provided such loving care and sacrifice for several years, and sincere appreciation to Dr. Woolman, nurses and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Wasatch Care Center.
