She was born Oct. 12, 1914, in Preston, Idaho, to Joseph A. and Francis Petersen Luthy. She married Leo Rogers Hawkes on Aug. 12, 1938, in Logan, Utah. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1985. She is survived by her children, N. Roger (Karen) Hawkes of West Jordan, Utah, J. Robert (Brenda) Hawkes of North Logan, Utah, and Patricia Wheeler of Turlock, Calif.; and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; a son, Phillip Hawkes; three sisters, Priel, Louise and Kay; and one brother, Don Luthy. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Webb Funeral Home, in Preston, Idaho. Graveside services will take place in the Logan City Cemetery.
