She graduated from Preston High School. Married William Jackson Long, March 31, 1935, in Preston, Idaho he died December 16, 1940. Lois married Scott Lowe Geddes February 19, 1942 in Washington D.C. he passed away October 11, 1974. Lois was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lois is survived by her daughters Shirley Ann (Dean) Allen and Lynda (Lowell) Geddes and her sister Helen (Ted) Rice; 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, William Long and Scott Geddes, two sons Lowell "Jess" and Gale, daughter Patricia (Robert) Stapley; sisters Zelma Barfus, Norma Durrant, and her brother Dean Shaffer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 ! Highland Drive. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Preston, Idaho City Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Huntsman Cancer Inst., LDS Missionary Fund or the charity of your choice.
