Eunice was born on Nov. 4, 1920, in Whitney, Idaho, to Lester LeRoy and Rosella Lowe Dunkley. She attended Preston High School where she met and later married her lifelong sweetheart, DeRalph Perry, on Nov. 6, 1939, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they raised their five children on their farm in Treasureton, Idaho. Eunice was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions in the Treasureton Ward, including Primary president, Young Women's (MIA) president, as well as serving on the Stake Young Women's President's (MIA) Board. She was also involved with the Daughters of Pioneers Sacagawea Organization and was a member of the Preston Ladies Literary Club. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, nurturing her family was always her first priority. She was a great caregiver to her husband when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Her home was always a lovely place, cheerful, clean, well-organized and well-managed. Her hands were never idle as she attended to the needs of her family and home. Her love of nature and the outdoors was evidenced by her knack for gardening, whether it be fruits and vegetables for canning or her beautiful roses that were admired by all. Eunice's life is an inspiration to her family. She is survived by her husband, DeRalph, of Preston; her children, DeAnn (Vern) Scott, Richard R. (DeeAnn) Perry, Brent (Christine) Perry, Reed (Wendy) Perry and Ed (Sherri) Perry; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Blaine Dunkley; and two sisters, Zelda Taylor and Francine Oliverson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mack Dunkley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Preston 10th Ward Chapel, 155 North 200 West in Preston, with Bishop Mike Andrus conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida in Preston and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Whitney Cemetery.
